Me and my husband are visiting Paso Robles, we went to Monarca to try some food today and my husband asked to server Annie for a recommendation and we decide to eat shrimp tacos and they were really good.
The Orange juice was fresh and natural, I loved it.

Meeting a friend for breakfast and we decided to try Monarca, as we are always looking for something good locally. This was a hit. The waitress brought ice water right away and then coffee which was delicious. We talked about being more adventurous but both ended up ordering the same thing. I had ham and eggs with sourdough toast and fruit instead of hash browns or home fries. She had the same except with home fries. The eggs were done perfectly and just as we asked. Her potatoes were very good as was my fruit dish. The waitress asked several times if we wanted more coffee but was not overbearing. One thing I noticed upon arrival which doesn’t affect the food at all but the coffee cups and water glasses were beautifully imprinted in gold with the Monarca logo. Just a little extra. We sat at our table for almost two hours catching up and never felt like we were being pushed to leave. I will order more adventurously next time. The chilaquiles and eggs Benedict looked wonderful. In addition, the prices were extremely reasonable. I’m having lunch there next week!

We went here pursuing fresh squeezed OJ after a long night out. We were a party of 7. Beverages were excellent some of the food we order was good others were not. I ordered the surf & turf skillet & the shrimp were pungent. I bit into one & it had a fishy taste. I proceeded to let the server know that they should check them before serving to other guest. They did not compensate me for the shrimp. Also, my friend who was celebrating her bday, whom is about 120lbs was sitting in a chair when one of the front legs collapsed. Not at all did they try to accommodate this fall besides wiping the table off from where she spilled her drink. Not great empathy for guests in my opinion.

Went for lunch on a weekday. Good food, good service. But there was music playing, too loud in my opinion. Not ‘background music’ at at that volume level. And it was obviously a free streaming service because about every 3 minutes, you heard a minute of commercials. Then, half the time a song would be interrupted in the middle of the song with either a commercial, or…another song. About 15 minutes in, we heard the same song that was playing when we walked it. Weird and annoying.

The food was as authentic as it gets! I’ve never been served such delicious chilaquiles (Red, and green). They were fresh, the tortillas were crispy but moist at the same time, the sauce was exactly like I ordered (spicy). The egg was also made to order, crispy like I love them. The meat was a whole experience! it was tender, well marinated, and juicy. The chorizo was meaty and perfectly spiced. My flan was amazing, I ate a little at a time so I could saviour the dessert longer. It was garnished with a dark chocolate that paired perfectly with the sweet flan. They listened to my request and delivered 110%. y’all will see me there often.

This is a restaurant that you must visit! We are from Oregon and we came to visit family and decided to try this restaurant out. Upon entering, I felt the warm friendly ambiance that you want in a restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food? The food was amazing! I tried the cauliflower tacos and an asparagus soup and my husband had the seafood pasta both left us wanting more! If you are in the area looking for a nice relaxing place to have an amazing meal, this is it! We will definitely visit this restaurant again!

My husband and I just had the most delicious breakfast at Monarca…Avocado Toast and Florentine Benedict. Fresh and savory ingredients! Freshly-squeezed OJ topped off our meal. Our server was very attentive and personable.

Checked in 10:15am it’s already11: 10am. still waiting for food… it’s already lunch time.. low staff all people eating already leaving made a reservation.. passing 1 hour … for pancake fries yogurt and chilaquiles… you will have to wait… Why rate it so high people…
Update food arrived 5 minutes after the first section review.. food is bare fancy smancy.. you’ll get a better flavor from a food truck. I was hoping with that wait time that the food will win us over sorry but no.
