A Staten Island Pizza Gem – Creative, Delicious, and a Must-Try!
Staten Island has no shortage of great pizza, but this spot takes it to another level with some of the most creative specialty pies around. They don’t just experiment—they nail it every time. Whether you’re a traditionalist or looking for something unique, their flavors are always on point, with high-quality ingredients and perfectly crisp crusts.
The must-try? Their award-winning (or gold medal) pie—I wish I remembered the exact name, but trust me, it’s a winner for a reason. Every bite is packed with bold flavors, and you can tell they put serious thought into their combinations.
If you’re in Staten Island and love great pizza with a creative twist, this place is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve been coming here for years. The food is fantastic. Must try rhe mortadella on focaccia bread with pistachio pesto. It’s amazing. The pizza specials of the day are interesting and good. The food from the kitchen is fresh and made to order. If this place is not on your list, you def have to add it.

When we dine in, the food is always fresh, and the staff is super friendly. When we order online, delivery is often very fast; the food is hot and made to order. The drivers are kind and friendly. Highly recommend Mona Lisa Pizzeria. Thank you to Jeffrey, our driver, for being such a nice and kind human being.

We love coming to Mona Lisa Pizzeria and Ristorante! It’s a great spot for the whole family. My kids always enjoy their regular slices—fresh, tasty, and just the right size. As for me, I can’t get enough of the Buffalo Rolls. They’re packed with flavor and have just the right kick. The food is consistently great, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommend for a casual meal with delicious options for everyone!

Completely underwhelmed by their gluten free Sicilian pie. Firstly, it was VERY small compared to other pizzerias. Most gluten free pizzas fit the size of a small pizza box. As you can see in my photo this was a tiny pie. There was hardly any sauce and practically no flavor. Lastly, this was a premade crust and expensive at $19 for practically nothing. I can say delivery was quick, but that’s the only positive and why I’d give any stars.

Mona Lisa Pizzeria has a very good atmosphere that creates a nice setting. Unfortunately, the food and service were both just average and didn’t match the inviting ambiance. Come for the vibe, but don’t expect exceptional pizza or service.

Their pizzas are huge and delicious. The staff is wonderful and the selections are incredible. My only complaint was that they forgot to put our garlic knots in the to go back, but things happen.

First time ordering from here and I have to say that the pizza was fantastic. Crust was not too thin and not too thick with plenty of bite. Sauce and cheese had a solid balance. AND they use the good pepperoni (The small cup ones) My only complaint is that they failed to mention that it was cash only, so I had to use the ATM ($2.50 charge ) An older gentleman who I believe was the owner saw my frustration when the ATM didn’t work at first and offered me to just order it online and pay the online order when I got home, that way I can take my pizza home while it was hot. Which I thought was very kind. Definitely my new pizza place

Delivery was very quick, but I live pretty close. I had a simple order, 1) fried calamari, 2) plain pie.
I know when you order fried calamari for delivery it’s usually not the greatest but this was tasteless.
The pizza though was nasty overcooked and barley sliced and hard, if it wasn’t for my kids I would have driven this right back to them. Very disappointed.

Nowhere on the website or menu does it state they’re a cash only establishment.
When I phoned in my order with their staff, there was no advance notice about cash only payment either. Absolutely no indication until you arrive in person.
They do have an ATM which was the only consolation. Don’t forget the atm fee is charged both by the atm company and your bank so thats 5 bucks.
Not coming back to these guys.
