I was under the mistaken impression Chin Chin was still in operation at this location — perhaps simply operating under this new name.
Unfortunately for me (a vegan) that was not the case. This new place was fine for someone with no dietary restrictions, but for me, looking forward to a very veg-friendly meal, I was sorely disappointed.
Luckily, the server was kind and patient enough to help me find something to eat (mixed vegetables – no protein, in some sort of sauce with a side of white rice).
My coworkers enjoyed their meals.

Korean-style jajangmyeon, jjamppong restaurant!

They have fit a lot into a small space here, private dining areas, tables for 2 and then larger open feel seating. The construction/decorating and painting are still needing those finishing touches [ the entrance the most unfinished- seems a nice water feature maybe in the future]. Large urn/vases are the main decorative feature once you round the corner,sat on a bed of small rock giving the feng shui feel as there are artistically aesthetic metal partitions hanging from the ceiling to divide further the kitchen from the dining areas. My server was polite and attentive, the menu easy to read/navigate. overall I feel as though this is a more authentic cuisine as many customers were asian and me the exception. That while the flavors were familiar they were much less sugary which was extremely nice to happen upon. Some male customers lingered in conversation upon seating just outside the entrance/exit doorway, completely at ease in this small shop area just off Taylor Rd. Having said all that about the interior decor and food , for me it seemed a bit overpriced compared to other chinese or japanese establishments in Montgomery with a few exceptions but it def leans toward the high end charging more for the fried [ bland but eggs plentiful ] over the white rice with my total at 25 for a mongolian beef plate & drink.
