Dinner at the flagship location was excellent. My coworker and I started off with the spicy tuna roll which we constructed ourselves. Drinks were artisanal; I tried the Bad Therapy which has bourbon, cold brew and brown butter. My main was the spicy mushroom ramen which had a great garlicky flavor. Dessert was a delectable slice of chocolate pie. Highly recommend this location. Busy dining room but service was efficient and plates came out fast. Leisurely walk from Union Station.

Food was delicious. One server who was probably a manager was spectacular; the others were kind of stand-offish. We were seated by the entrance and felt a cold draft every time the door opened, and the seating strategy was such that it didn’t feel like a laid back dinner. That said, the food was delicious

It’s a great vibe definitely geared towards younger crowd. The tables are small and the have stools without backs. A bit on the loud side. Food and service are great. Price is reasonable for what they serve. The hand rolls and pork belly baos are delicious. So was the ginger scallion noodles. The milk chocolate pie was really good. The smoked pork ramen was our least favorite. My expectations were much higher for the broth.

So, I am happy I finally tried NB, but honestly, I wasn’t wowed. We started with the pickled veg platter, and I did love the cucumbers, but the kimchi was meh. We also got two different buns, the pork belly – delicious. The mushroom was way salty, I couldn’t take more than one taste. The chicken was fabulous, crispy, flavorful, tender and moist. On the downside, I didn’t love the mushroom ramen, again, too salty and definitely not enough broth, imo. Glad I went, but definitely hit or miss with some of the dishes. Finally, the table situation…I couldn’t get into my seat without hitting my neighbor behind me or next to me. I get it, NYC real estate but this was ridiculous.

Cannot see the hype about this place. Ramen broth is purely salty for both garlic chicken and smoked pork. The chicken and pork are pretty tasty but the broth is undrinkable. I have to dilute it with water. The best item is the fried potato, 10/10. The lychee cosmo is a refreshing drink to have for happy hour price. The arrangement of their seating is also uncomfortable, and extremely crowded, there are no small tables for 2-4 people, it’s either big table or the counter. We had to share a large table with no place to put our coats. I understand the limited space and trying to accommodate as more customers as possible, but it makes the whole experience awful.

The food is very good. I would categorize this as modern Japanese / Chinese fusion. The pork bun was smoky, the steak was delicious, and the chicken ramen was light. Pricing is reasonable given the location. I would come back.

had an 8:45 reservation for my bday- the host didn’t wish me a happy birthday and was sort of cold, off-putting. my group of 3 was told it would be a 5-10 min wait but we weren’t seated for 45 min (so the time estimate was a blatant lie – and other guests left for this very reason while we were there in line)
we were offered free drinks while we waited, opted for margaritas, and then we were told we could only get some small lychee drink?
once we were seated the service was friendly – our guy was nice and apologetic. we got a free appetizer. unfortunately the ramen – which was supposed to be the star of the show – was disappointing. the broth had no depth and was sort of salty. the spinach was raw as hell. it was just average at best… my friend’s ramen didn’t have ANY scallion/green onion. the egg in mine felt sort of raw – i get it was poached but this was something else
can’t recommend this place. the city of full of gems and this is not one of them! also worth mentioning this was the 2nd time we tried coming here, couldn’t get in the first time a while ago without a reservation but tonight showed that even having one for your bday means nothing

Service was good. The ambience is geared towards younger crowd. We got the pork belly bun, half chicken, smoked pork ramen and chocolate pie. The bun and chocolate are good. The ramen was salty. Overall it was okay.

the pork belly baos were the best bites of the night.
i don’t think we’d get the bavette steak again. it wasn’t the most tender steak and just not our fav we’ve had at this price point. the potato butter felt like it was trying to pick up the slack.
the ramen was tasty! we got the pork ramen and the pork belly was so fatty and tender. the noodles were nice and bouncy, i just wish the broth was slightly less salty. don’t get me wrong- i love salt (i am actually a salt addict) but this was just too salty for me. it could be that it was just too much with the other dishes we ordered.
good efficiency and friendly service even with the noise level in the restaurant. food came quickly.

Haven’t been here for a while, and saw that they do a fried chicken Monday and decided to give it a try. The place was busy for a Monday night, but service was still prompt and friendly. The chicken itself was good, as well as the fries. Unfortunately the scones were ice cold and hard. I didn’t make a fuss as I wasn’t really going to eat them anyways.. The apple slushy was also very refreshing.
