Very friendly service. Long wait for our food, though there were very few customers at the time. When the food came out, the fries were the color of chocolate and soggy. I understand that home-cut fries come out darker, but not like this. I want to think that they were overcooked, but the sogginess of them makes me believe otherwise. I truly think this is a case of dirty oil. Either way… I left hungry.

Absolutely wasted my money. Service was very slow and couldn’t get my very simple order right. Two kids meals hot dogs and cheesy fries . Had both of the kids food on the table and they were almost done eating before I got my hot dogs and cheesy fries and then the cheesy fries I ordered wasn’t even what I got . She offered to fix it and bring me a order of plain fries And then charged me for everything even knowing that they messed my order up and made me wait even longer and I left without one single apology or anything. I will never waste my time or money with them again.

The service was friendly and the food I sampled (fish sandwich and broccoli cheddar bites) was average. The menu is full of items that centered around hamburgers and hotdogs, with some chicken and bologna, fish and grilled cheese options to round out the choices. Salad and soup is available, along with some appetizers that center around french fry options and frozen deep fry items. There are a few dinner plate specials that sounded good, like NY strip, meatloaf and liver and onions.
I dined there on a chilly evening and sadly the temperature inside was chilly too. The decor is minimal but everything was very clean and tidy. I would return to try the steak and salad options. Maybe a new experience will increase my star review. I always like to give local places my business if possible.

Had dinner with Kim this evening here. She ordered the chicken parmigiana and I had the double cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was cooked fully and had great flavor. The fries were crispy and extremely tasty without excess salt. Kims chicken parmigiana was served hot on a nice bed of spaghetti, smothered in cheese. Very good flavor and huge portion! Well done Momma Payne’s! Sorry no pics as we were both famished and cleared our plates too quickly. Lol

Everything was delicious. We tried the burgers and wings and they were fantastic! We got a newbie that waited on us and she was amazing. Super friendly, great atmosphere and wonderful food.

They have a good menu. We’ve visited there twice. Service was friendly but very distracted and slow. We were told their pies are great though. There’s not much else by way of sit down restaurant in town so enjoy!

I had a club sandwich. It was pretty good. It was not 40 minutes preparation good. Nor was it $14 good. There were three other customers at one table from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. so I suppose that’s why I didn’t receive a napkin until the end of my meal.

1st timer – ordered Blue Creek Special sandwich definitely not the sandwich that has always been served on Elk River, need to add ham & pastrami for it to be real and use thinner sliced bread say maybe italian.

The food is really good. Nothing fancy just good home cooked food. The server is very friendly and makes sure your satisfied with your meal. They have a good variety of foods also. The fried chicken is very good.
