First time at this restaurant and it was excellent!! Sam, our waitress, was extremely attentive and welcoming. The short ribs were to die for. And you didn’t even need a knife to cut them! Brussels Sprouts starter was awesome. This won’t be our last time coming!

We recently reserved Momma Maria’s Maple room for our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner and had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the start Dorian and Curt were so accommodating and pleasant to work with and they made things to easy for us to plan this event. There was constant contact throughout the process and all of our requests were met quickly and efficiently. The food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed, our waitress was friendly and took fantastic care of us and we loved the quiet privacy of the room. Everyone in our party was very happy and highly complementary of our dinner. Thank you again Dorian for helping to make our son’s wedding weekend even better. I would and will highly recommend Momma Maria’s to anyone looking for a catered event !!

Cuisine is delicious. Personally, I enjoy the italian flare. However, the steak was impeccable. A peaceful atmosphere is quiet yet inviting. The chef walks around and checks on your level of satisfaction. (At non rush points) This feels intimate- I love his concern and attention to the plate detail. The bar tender, John offers the perfect balance of attention and appropriately timed conversation!

First time diners. My husband and I were greeted by a smiling hostess/waitress. We got there after 5 and got one of the last open tables,; surprised to learn how many people make reservations for dinner here.
We started the special soup – beef and barley and Calamari. For dinner we have the grilled chicken sandwich and filet with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The food was delicious – came out hot and cooked perfectly. Next time we need to try the pizza in the wood fire oven, they looked good and a lot of people come for take out.
Our waiter was friendly. Service started off great but then dropped off a bit as it got more crowded (which is why only 4 stars); not a deterant to not go. It actually makes you engage in conversation longer, something we don’t do enough anymore.
As we left we were greeted by the owners who were dining outside, inquiring about the meal. We were more than happy to share our positive experience.
So if you are on the way to Ocean City or live in the shore and haven’t been, give it a try.

Last week, Charles and I celebrated our anniversary with our favorite friends, Ellen and Mike, by stuffing our faces at Momma Maria’s Bistro in Trappe. It’s been ages since we’ve been to Momma’s and, just like every other time, it was ridiculously good!! I wish I had snapped pics of everyone’s meals, but I was too busy drooling over my own. Great night with even greater friends.

Went for Prime Rib night and it was fabulous! Really good herb crusted on outside and perfectly cooked. Not all rib is tender,but this night it melted in my mouth. Perfection. My wife had the pesto crusted pan seared salmon on zoodles instead of pasta (they were happy to accommodate her) and she loved it. Our server was great and they even had a great 70’s station playing…so the meal and atmosphere was really great (and so was the Irish coffee) it our go to place for great food!

We each had an excellent prime rib. It was cooked exactly how we had ordered it. Rare, Medium, and Medium Rare. This is not easy to do. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The wine and desserts were also outstanding. We also enjoyed the low decibel level and general ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant. The chef even came out to check on our meals. Love this place!

This place came highly recommended by an old friend, and I can tell you they didn’t disappoint. The short rib and special pizza were great. The rib was perfectly tender and seasoned very well…. Not over seasoned. It’s difficult to describe the pizza. It was a nice thin crust with what was clearly very fresh ingredients. The appetizer was the popcorn crab, which doesn’t sound like anything I would order, but upon hearing the description, I took a dive. In short, it was multiple chunks of lump crab meat with a paper thin breading with light seasoning and a special dipping sauce, which you didn’t have to use, but it was good. This is a return joint, and the staff were very welcoming.
