Their cocktails were very tasty and went well with our order.
The flavors are rich— came through in the pasta sauce and salmon seasoning. The small tomato’s they add a great taste!
Not pictured, but don’t recommend ordering the baba ghanoush. Very simple. Dipping items: few pita slices, cucumber, and bell pepper slices.
Beautiful restaurant. The pops of blue were perfect for a Mediterranean restaurant. We were seated upstairs at a table for two against the railing overlooking the main floor. It was a lovely way to really look around and take in the beauty of the restaurant.
Upstairs are a few smaller tables, a gorgeous long live-edge table for maybe 8-10 and a sofa.
The main floor has a bunch of great U-shaped booths with high backs in a few different sizes that would accommodate many different parties and also tables with chairs. Very pretty lighting fixtures, with my only request being that the hanging lights very much needed a dusting. They were eye level from the second floor and the dust was very noticeable. Our server told us the restaurant opened three years ago and I’m guessing the lighting fixtures have never been dusted.
After we were seated by the host, our server brought two glasses and a carafe of still water for the table. We had decided to order a few items we intended to share. Sharing allowed us to sample a few delicious foods! We started off with the
WHIPPED FETA AND TOMATO BRUSCHETTA (Marinated Heirloom Tomatoes, Crispy Crostini, Warm Pita). This was served on a long wooden board with the perfectly crispy crostini on one end, the pile of pillow soft warm pita triangles in the middle and a bowl with feta and tomatoes in on the other end. I regret not taking a picture of this dish. This was the best bruschetta I have ever had!! We fully enjoyed every bite!!
Next our server brought us a VEGETABLE LASAGNA ROLL (Ricotta, Spinach, Red Bell Pepper, Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce) and a bowl of MUSHROOM, POTATO, AND LEEK SOUP (Forest Mushrooms, Crispy Leeks, House Bread). Personally, I didn’t care for the lasagna roll because it was covered in a very thick tomato sauce that was really sweet. Afterwards, I realized that the tomato sauce reminded me of tomato paste in both the taste and consistency. Perhaps the tomato sauce is an authentic Mediterranean recipe. The person I was with loved the lasagna and just kept raving about it. The mushroom soup was great. It came with a drizzle of good olive oil that really added to the mouthfeel. I liked dipping pieces of the warm bread into the soup, to me that was the best bite.
Let me mention the FOREST MUSHROOM PIZZA (Roasted Garlic Oil, Wild Mushroom Blend, Winter Parmesan, Provolone, Mozzarella, Pesto Oil)…Oh My Goodness!! So delicious!! Perfect crust!! Great mushrooms!! To be honest, I was actually too full at that point so I took my half home and reheated in the oven the next day…so if the leftover pizza was that AwEsOmE—I can only imagine how good it was brought fresh to the table.
Yes I was full but I love a dessert ❤️. I chose the LIMONCELLO CAKE (Meyer Lemon Zest and Limoncello Infused Cake, Mascarpone Frosting, Lemon Curd, Almond Tuile) because this is a mediterranean restaurant and of course limoncello. Again—> Perfection! The cake was similar in texture to a butter cake. The lemon flavor wasn’t overpowering but just right with a light hint. The frosting was beautifully piped on top and so light and creamy. I don’t believe I was given the almond tuile. I didn’t realized that until I looked later at my pictures and matched it to the menu description. I really like almond so I’m sure I would have enjoyed the tuile. I savored a few bites and took the remaining cake home…which I finished later that night.
The service was fine. Nothing to really compliment or rave about. Our server did sometimes seem annoyed, not with us but perhaps that’s just her personality or something else was bothering her. She wasn’t rude in anyway, just didn’t give us a feeling that she liked her job or wanted to be there.
We are looking forward to going back. I feel like we will be eating here often.
We booked New Year’s Eve reservations for our family, and it turned out to be a truly phenomenal experience. Corey was our server and he was excellent. As expected, the restaurant was very busy, but the service never missed a beat. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were absolutely top-notch. We will definitely be back.
Biggest disappointment was surprisingly the seats. I could NOT get comfortable in those things. If you ever come here, get a booth or bring a pad for your butt.
Shoutout to our waitress, forgot her name but the service was immaculate.
Food: Oysters were perfect. Fried cauliflower thing was quite possibly the best cauliflower I’ve ever had in my life. I got the scallop special with asparagus risotto. The scallops were cooked very well. The dish overall could’ve used some sort of tang or citrus – had too much of a buttery flavor.
Overall 8/10.
