I ordered stewed chicken and it was SPICY, I’ve eaten stewed chicken a million times and NOT one time was it spicy, even when I visited Montego Bay their stewed chicken wasn’t spicy. I paid $21.00 for my Order and was very disappointed. The rice was dry and hardly had peas in it , the cabbage was not even hot , the Mac & cheese was OK I guess they warmed it up. They give you a spoonful of everything. For that price you would think they would give you more. I couldn’t even finish because it was so spicy so I threw it in the trash I’m not a fan of spicy, the food upset my stomach. The owner did come out to speak to me and gave me a fresh order of fried chicken wings in which I was very appreciative. The customer service was good but I wish they would let you know if the food is spicy or not..

It is genuinely hard to find a place that has good food with every entree. Every single thing we got was amazing! Oxtails that make you want to chew the bone! Jerk chicken that made me want to lick the plate. Definitely worth more than the price!

I met the counter staff, Birdie, and he was awesome! Food was prepared in good timely manner. I ordered the Oxtails, macaroni and cheese, rice, and coconut bread. Oxtails were 100% good! However, coconut bread became stale really fast (~30 minutes).

Momma Luv’s Soul & Caribbean Food did NOT disappoint! The food was full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and tasted homemade in the best way. You can tell real care goes into every dish. The portions were generous, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the whole vibe felt warm and inviting. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you want real soul and Caribbean flavor!

Hello Mama love family. I really appreciate how you guys stay consistent with being courteous kind and treating everybody that comes and spend money with and time with y’all like they’re family versus just customers and I mean that in a good way, the customer service is always phenomenal young man that works in the front is always very warm and welcoming. The only downside is, I wish you guys had bigger containers for your large . However, it taste delicious and my favorites thing to eat is the plantain.
On this trip, I got a large rice and peas, a large cabbage and a medium size plantain . My husband got the oxtail plate. It comes with the rice and peas and he decided to get collard greens and cabbage as his two sides

It’s so bad they need to be fined. They put sugar in everything. It’s absolutely disgusting.

What they sell as authentic jerk chicken is the furthest thing from that. They shred a dried out baked chicken thigh that is mixed with barbecue sauce filled with crushed red pepper. No jerk, no grill, no smoke, no scotch bonnet. Literally NOTHING about their so called jerk chicken is authentic. And worse then that, it tastes terrible. There is so much crushed red pepper in it it gets stuck in your teeth.

Nice people though

The customer service was superb—friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. We ordered two oxtail plates with rice and beans, mac and cheese, and plantains. For the kids, we chose fried wings, catfish, rice and beans, and plantains.

The soul food items were the highlight of our order. The fried catfish, wings, mac and cheese, and plantains were all very good—flavorful, well-cooked, and enjoyable.

However, the oxtails were a major letdown. They did not taste like traditional Jamaican or Caribbean oxtails, they had an unexpected sweetness and lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. My husband couldn’t even finish his plate because he just didn’t like the taste.

The rice and beans were also disappointing. My kids’ rice was dry, and while ours had some oxtail gravy on top, the rice itself had an odd flavor and wasn’t enjoyable. To make things worse, there were only two beans in the entire serving—calling it “rice and beans” felt misleading. It’s called rice and beans for a reason, and this just didn’t live up to that standard. We ended up throwing most of it away.

If I return, I would stick strictly to the soul food options and avoid the Caribbean dishes altogether. The service was excellent, but the food quality was inconsistent.
