Ordered through GrubHub. They packed the sushi in between the hot food and the soup so by the time it got to us it had a strange smell and was warmed through. I tried to still eat it and was greeted with a hair in the rice of my shrimp nigiri. I can’t recommend them for sushi, but the teriyaki and katsu plate was good though.

When we walked in the bar was full so we sat by the window. No one greeted us so I got up to ask how does all you can eat work. They started setting things on the bar with the expectation we get up every time to go grab it. Sometimes standing for minutes waiting for somebody to see me to ask for like a straw or napkins. We ordered two appetizers which whenever we’ve been to all you can eat it’s normally like a smaller portion since you’re eating sushi too but they were full portions like 12 pieces for an appetizer. Which yes great for the value but between 2 people we didn’t even have room for sushi anymore and it was overwhelming trying to eat 20+ pieces of appetizer. This was a small place too so not like it’s for family portions. The sushi itself was alright, I honestly really didn’t care for the quality of it. The all you can eat does not include drinks or dessert either and was $37 each. They also seemed really strict on returning clear plates before being able to order more which yes I understand but have never felt that pressured before at an AYCE. Between service and food it was very under expectations and we’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. The place itself was very clean and aesthetically pleasing at least but very quiet so felt kinda weird to talk at normal volume. We were disappointed over all.

Momiji Sushi is a great Portland sushi joint. I feel the sushi is always fresh. The service is always fast and curtious. The place is small, but I have always found a seat at the bar, or we order ahead for takeout. My kid loves their food. Nice atmosphere and a good place to take the family, not too pricey.

The food is amazing, it looks exactly like the photos. The service is efficient and kind. I am so sad that I don’t live in Portland because I would come here as frequent as possible. (The bento box is VERY good and has a lot of food).

I just visited with my daughter and we had a good time. The inside of this place is nice and small and it reminds me of going to places. Actually in Japan. They had a good selection and good prices.

The staff was really kind and I loved that they had one TV with sports and one TV with anime.

I ordered online and got sushi along with a brown sugar boba tea. When I received my order, it was incorrect, and instead of the brown sugar boba, I was given Thai tea. Unfortunately, I don’t like Thai tea, so I wasn’t able to drink it. I’m disappointed because part of my order was wrong and couldn’t be used.

Unfortunately the quality has dipped here compared to when they initially opened. Ordered pick up takeout for the first time in awhile. Seaweed salad was soggy, like it had been sitting around all day. Gyoza overcooked and bland. The rolls were OK. The egg rolls were good. Not enough pickled ginger or wasabi to go with the rolls we ordered. Kind of surprising because they have typically been on point.

Really odd and unpleasant experience, and I’ve had a great time at other Momiji locations in Portland. There were only 2 people in here and the staff took 15 minutes to check in. I don’t mind waiting but would have appreciated a “hi there, we’ll be with you in a few minutes.” And when I spoke up they seemed bothered I would even say anything. Food was not the same quality as other Momiji either

This place has always been my regular to-go sushi place. Even during very busy time, the staff is very considerate and gave us free appetizers and often checking in on us. Would definitely recommend everyone to give it a try!

Whether you’re a fan of classic rolls, craving premium options, they have something for everyone! I enjoyed their AYCE so many options. I enjoyed the ayce options and tried a great variety of options. The dragon roll was my favorite with lots of sauce on top. They have new don bowls and great lunch options too.
