The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect whether you’re grabbing a solo meal or bringing the family for some authentic Dominican food. I ordered the Chimi, and it was amazing — one of the closest I’ve had to the real deal in the D.R. The Sancocho had great flavor and depth, really comforting and well-seasoned.
Overall, everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu — this spot deserves way more attention!
La Barrita RD truly delivers an exceptional dining experience! The food here is simply outstanding, especially the Chimi, which was absolutely delicious and a definite highlight. While the prices are good, the quality of the food is even better, making every bite worthwhile.
Beyond the incredible food, the staff deserves special mention for being incredibly attentive and friendly. Their warm and welcoming service significantly enhanced the overall visit.
If you’re looking for fantastic food paired with top-notch service and great value, La Barrita RD is the place to go!
10/10 food and service.
The BEST Dominican food I’ve had in the USA.
Super nice server who seemed to be doing it all!! Serving, taking orders from walk-ins, working cash register, etc.
Food… top notch!
Plan on making this a regular breakfast spot!
This was my fourth visit! I’ve tried their chimichurri, guandules, and sancocho before — all delicious and full of home-style flavor. Today I went for the pollo al horno, while my friend had the pollo frito con tostones — crispy, juicy, and seasoned perfectly.
And let’s not forget the best part — that ice-cold Presidente beer . It just completes the meal!
Katherine and Paola are always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with appetizers or recommendations.
