Ate here on 11/8. The food was good. I had the miso soup, Kani salad, and the tempura roll dinner, and everything was fairly priced.
The service is where things fell short. This place gets packed, and I wish someone had mentioned that a reservation is basically necessary. The host was not rude but felt cold toward me and my friend and could not provide even a rough estimate on the wait. They only told us that it is better to have a reservation. Our server was great, but the front-of-house team really needs to work on greeting guests and giving basic wait-time information. Total wait time was around 20 minutes.

Absolutely delicious food and hot sake, and a huge bonus that it’s close to home! The spider roll and shrimp lover’s roll (mine) were fantastic! My boyfriend got the hibachi combo with shrimp (I had a couple of bites and loved it) and scallops and the eel roll combo and said they were delicious too. The miso soup starter was tasty as well. It’s a small place, it was comfortable, well lit and quiet on a Monday evening. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

We love this spot! Everyone who works there is so friendly and remembers us even though we only come every couple of months. They are getting quite popular and busy though so make sure to order with plenty of time for a to-go order.

Cute atmosphere with helpful and pleasnt staff. Sushi was fresh and everything else was cooked perfect.

I haven’t had Asian food like that even in LA! The employees were so polite and easy to talk to. The environment was nice, though I opted for take out both times.
The food is/was exquisite. Such attention to detail. The flavors in the broth of the vegetable soup. Wow. And the Vegetarian Dinner box for sushi was just fantastic! There’s a Buddha Roll with honey roasted peanuts inside. That was new, I’ve never had something like that before and that was amazing!

My boyfriend and I first came here 5 years ago and all we remember is the food was great back then. Today after hiking at Mohonk, we decided to get lunch here and had a nice experience again. The Nabeyaki hot pot broth wasn’t very flavorful, but the tempura shrimp that comes with it was crispy and tasty. Steamed pork gyoza and sushi were delicious! We would definitely come again
