I had stopped doing reviews in the recent times most often than not due to the dissatisfaction of what we were presented with in terms of food and service.
We made our gastronomic trip for Christmas to Penang and it was indeed a memorable trip.
It was by chance we googled for a french restaurant and saw this restaurant opened until 7pm.
I called and enquired if by chance it can be opened for late dining and was pleasantly informed by Shane the Bar Manager that Chef Ker Lli had agreed to open it for us (since we are from KL) for late dinner. The Chef is a wonderful humble lady who had studied at Le Cordon Bleu and spent some years in France working at restaurants over there. When asked what was her reason for opening this beautiful classically looking bistro cafe cum restaurant was in her own words “I would like to introduce French gastronomy to local citizens with reasonable pricing , because usually people always have a thought that French food must be pricey and fine dining“. Hence the price is reasonable according to the quality and standard. Prices were between rm30- rm60 for most dishes except for beef dishes a little higher if I distinctly remember looking at the menu. That is reasonable especially when the taste and quality is authentically french. I do hope many of you will enjoy the food and desserts as my family and I did. By the way we loved the reason why the Chef named the place “moment” cos every dessert she has made reminded her of special experiences of her time in France and with her senior Chefs who mentored her. Moment serves authentic French food prepared by a talented cordon bleu trained Chef. Bon Appetit!

The Choc Eclair & Passionfruits Choc Macaron is sooo good & yummy. It has been a long time since I have eaten such a good Choc Eclair . The quality of some of their pastries rival those found in well known patisseries in penang & Paris . Do try out these :-
1. Salted Caramel Cempedak Macaron
2. Pistache Framboise Macaroon
3. Bergamot Lime Tart
4. Dark Chocolate Tart
5. Paris Brest
6. Strawberries Tart
If you like some bites, pls go for their salmon wellington & beef bourguinon . I bet you will love it . Keep it up Chef Kerlley

Beautiful cakes, prices on a high side, average RM20+ per piece. Tiramisu is good too.
The pasta is delicious, seafood is so fresh. Will come back and try the other mains.
