What a fun unique restaurant with an excellent chef and staff. We went as part of the Tasting Collective dinner group where the chef speaks to the group and answers questions. It was great. The place is adorable. It’s small but has so much character. We loved hearing the chef story and history of his food inspiration coming from his Ukrainian grandmother. All of the dishes had amazing flavors and were beautifully presented.

Definitely worth coming to this restaurant!

Happy to finally eat at this little gem of a restaurant. I’ve heard plenty of great reviews from friends and they all proved true.

This is possibly the smallest restaurant I’ve eaten at, with 2 chefs in the kitchen, 1 server, and 1 bartender. There are barely 30 seats in the space, and I think it’s impressive they fit even that many. The atmosphere is very cozy, but the seating is definitely tight.

The menu isn’t large, but there are plenty of options and the portions are pretty filling, especially with the type of hearty food they serve. The bread and butter are delicious. As a cabbage enjoyer, the mushroom holubtsi was my favorite small bite dish, but I definitely want to try the trout dip next time I visit. Borscht isn’t my favorite because I don’t usually like beets, but the short rib makes it a very savory dish that I wanted to drink from the bowl. The pork was so tender and fell off the bone easily, becoming a smoky pulled pork dish that I want to eat again. I do wish we had ordered the rabbit over the fish, but the fish was still very tasty.

I hope this place continues to get support through the construction, especially since it took over To the Wind Bistro’s former spot. This place is the perfect date night spot for comfort food or if you just want a quick meal at their cozy bar.

WOW. I have no idea why I’ve never been before but I’ll be back. This place blew me away. Every drink, food and custom vodka was perfect. I mean 10/10. It’s better than the Michelin star spots in Denver. It’s intimate, packed full of personality and authenticity. The staff is incredible as well. Grab a reservation and experience this must try spot.

Let me start by saying… you’re gonna look at the drink menu and may think “eh” do not let that fool you. Get the Molotov cocktail immediately. It tastes so creamy and comforting, and the presentation is insane, it comes out on fire

The Black Forest Baba cocktail is giving earthy, savory, elevated V8 cocktail (trust me) weird description, incredible execution.

Food Wise:
– short rib borscht = perfect starter
– ukha fish = NONNEGOTIABLE. One of the best fish dishes i’ve ever had, cooked perfectly.
– roast pork shank was just okay, a little over-salted and super rich, still tasty but not the star

We only had one night in Denver and are so glad we went here. It’s an intimate space with a great vibe. The food is at once familiar and comforting but also innovative and fresh. We loved the pierogis and polenta in particular, and also the golden borscht and lamb ribs. Cocktails were also standouts. The service was professional but fun, and the staff is awesome. Highly recommend for small groups!

I had dinner the other night with my uncle who is not an adventurer with food. The meal was fantastic he keeps talking about the food and how good it was. The last two days this is the first thing he talks about with others. We had the lamb it was fantastic. The picture makes the portion look small, it is not!

Things to consider; infused vodkas, beautiful cocktails and a wine list from small Bach wineries. We had wine but the cocktails looked delicious.

Make a reservation! They had a full house on a Wednesday.

I recently solo-dined at Molotov Kitschen + Cocktails for my birthday and was met with a truly unforgettable experience.

As a solo-diner, I was already nervous about dining alone, but upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by the staff and welcomed inside. I opted to sit at the bar-top, and from there, was given the ultimate birthday treatment. From horse radish shots (budmo!!), to their delicious seasonal winter cocktails and classic Molotov Cocktail, I was overwhelmed in the best way possible with hospitality and decadent food.

I dined for about two hours and was sad to leave, but was given a warm goodbye from the staff.

To Bo and the staff at Molotov Kitschen + Cocktails, thank you for giving me one of the best dining experiences of my life!! I can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant was recommended to me by a Ukrainian, who said it was incredible. I have another friend who is often in Ukraine and always complains about the food. I felt this meal reflected both sentiments.

The stand-out dish was the dumplings- they were creative and delicious, and I would return just for them. I also loved the nettle borscht.

To my surprise, the meat dishes fell flat. The lamb was chewy, the meatballs were dry, and none of the meat had much flavour other than salt. Maybe my asian taste buds couldn’t appreciate the subtlety.

Service was okay, felt a little forgotten, the servers often disappeared to the bar area.

Great experience at Molotov, and now I understand the hype! Each dish was delicious, unique, and expertly prepared. You can tell a lot of thought went into each dish, lots of ingredients that complemented one another without being overwhelming. They change up their menu each season so looking forward to new experiences in the next visit.

From someone who spent a month and a half in Ukraine recently, this place is beyond legitimate. Every dish was amazing, staff was very kind. Eat everything with confidence and definitely try the infused vodka.
