Molly’s is a modern American pub that reimagines the classic public house as a place to linger, laugh, and graze. Built on the spirit of community and conversation, Molly’s invites guests to sip, snack, and stay awhile with a menu of comfort food reimagined in shareable plates designed to pair perfectly with a pint.

Date night at Molly’s in Dover with Kelley turned into a perfect night out — and even better when we ran into my godfather, Brian Hamilton, celebrating his birthday with his son, Chris. From the moment we walked in, the cozy brick pub atmosphere, lively crowd, and genuinely friendly staff set the tone.
We started with onion rings and chicken tenders with house chips, then shared the short rib entrée and the Caesar Tuscino. Every plate was hot, hearty, and full of flavor — real comfort food done right. The drinks were just as strong: a hot chocolate martini that was basically dessert in a glass, a festive spiced holiday margarita, Kelley’s smooth and classic Molly’s Manhattan, and my Rogue Dead Guy Ale on draft.
What makes this even more impressive is that Molly’s has only been open for about a week. To already be delivering this level of food quality, service, and atmosphere is remarkable. You can feel the care and pride in what they’re building here.
We definitely need to go back to explore more of the menu. This is a huge win for the downtown Dover scene and an easy recommendation. If you’re anywhere near Dover, Molly’s is a must-see.

Walked in for lunch, and very pleasantly surprised with this new spot! Only just heard about it so I wanted to stop by, absolutely worth the visit.
Started with a French onion soup (one of the best I’ve ever had) and a Santa-gria, main course was the chicken piccatta with risotto and a spiced holiday marg, and finished with chocolate brownie fudge trifle (huge, bring a friend for this one!) and an espresso martini.
Wait staff was quick, attentive, and friendly, and I overheard another table getting custom modifications to their order to work around allergens, so the kitchen is working to please as well! A brief table visit from the owner was a nice touch too.
This location is already coming out strong and I’m looking forward to going back as they deservedly settle into the spot!

Amazing experience at Molly’s! It’s a huge win for the Celiac community—they have a dedicated fryer and a staff that truly understands cross-contamination. Don’t miss out on the cocktails or those loaded waffle fries!

Molly’s in Dover is the kind of place you go once and immediately start telling everyone about. The food is next-level good — every dish comes out packed with flavor and clearly made with real care. It’s the perfect mix of comfort food and elevated pub favorites that make you want to try everything on the menu.
What really blew us away is that they offer gluten-free fried food, and somehow it’s still perfectly crispy and delicious. If you’ve ever had to avoid gluten, you know how rare that is — and Molly’s absolutely nails it.
From the appetizers to the mains, everything was outstanding. The vibe is warm, lively, and welcoming — the kind of neighborhood spot Dover has needed. Honestly, it might be one of the best meals we’ve had on the Seacoast in a long time.
If you haven’t been to Molly’s yet, go. Just go. Dover officially has a new must-visit restaurant.

Great brick cozy place to sit and chat. Try the potato skins, love them every time. I am a regular for those! I like to bring home that mac and cheese for the next day as a great comfort food leftover. The portions huge, tasty, and staff is very attentive to service! The chef visits the tables ! very delightful team that has opened Molly’s Place.

We LOVED Molly’s! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food completely blew us away. The mozzarella bites were unbelievable (and a huge portion), and both of our meals were fantastic. There are at least 10 other things on the menu I’m already dying to try, so we’ll definitely be back. So excited to have another amazing restaurant right in downtown Dover!

Our waitress was amazing I can’t remember her name but she had braids she was on top of everything cleared all our plates and brought drinks so fast. I will be recommending Mollys to all my friends and I will be back soon ❤️

When arriving at the Molly’s, our party (of 4) found the walkway had not been cleared of snow from the previous evening. Likewise, the stairs to the main entrance were also not cleared. Once inside, there was a bit of a wait for the hostess to appear. We were shown to a table, but noted these tables are fairly small. Our waitress was very polite and welcoming. There was a fairly long wait once we placed our food order. When the food did arrive, we were told there was an issue with the entrée ordered by 3 of us (short rib). Apparently the chef was not pleased with the quality of the protein he had prepared and we would not be charged for those meals.
Our waitress offered to provide us with anything else we might prefer in place of what was served. We all decided to stick with our original choices and only 1 of us found their dish served was satisfactory. My own order of a pulled pork sandwich was barely edible and the waffle fries were stone cold. The fries were quickly replaced. Deserts were ordered by 3 of us and after another a lengthy wait, those were delivered to the table. Again, our server was very gracious and accommodating, so no fault there. I hated to write this review because we chose Molly’s based on the many positive reviews that had been posted.
I hope management reviews this and takes this as constructive criticism to improve moving forward.
