They charge a higher price if you use a credit card. I would have no problem if they raised their prices. But I don’t like the price differential. A business has many costs, the credit card merchant fee is simply one of those costs. So far, they do not charge extra for parking, ketchup, napkins, using the bathroom, or a straw. The food is good. I’ve had the egg salad sandwich and the BLT. Parking is easy, right out front, Server was great. Will not be coming back because of the higher prices charged for credit card users.

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. I had a French toast combo with eggs over easy and bacon. They were all really good, the French toast was crispy in the right way, the eggs fresh and also done perfectly, bacon thin and tasty. My wife had an egg scramble with spinach and a side of potatoes done in a grilled hash brown kind of way but chunkier. She enjoyed it, it was big portions so she only ate about half and we took the leftovers home. It wasn’t too busy, but staff were ever present and nice. It’s got indoor seating and some outdoor seating where you can bring your dog. It’s in a retail center so it’s easy to get to but it’s doesn’t have fancy surroundings or views. You can eat here for a reasonable price without a huge amount of effort. Or you could go to River Street Marketplace, pay for parking, wait wait wait, pay double for the food, and leave feeling like you just got ripped off by Disney again but without the rides.

My enduring lack of fandom for this establishment is a testament to its unwavering commitment to mediocrity. It’s truly a marvel how a place can consistently underwhelm on every front – food quality, service, and ambiance – and still have customers. I can only assume the locals frequent it out of some deeply ingrained, masochistic habit, perhaps a nostalgic yearning for “the good old days” when the original owners apparently sprinkled magic fairy dust (and actual flavor) into their dishes.
Speaking of dishes, my “Oriental Chicken Salad” was an artistic masterpiece of disappointment. For a mere $17, I was presented with what I can only describe as a deconstructed dream: a generous mountain of shredded iceberg lettuce (clearly a connoisseur’s choice), a couple of canned mandarin orange slices (for that authentic, straight-from-the-can zing), and a triumphant handful of peanuts, boldly substituted for the advertised cashews. Because who needs cashews when you can have… peanuts? It was truly a culinary rebellion against the very concept of value.
My daughter, ever the optimist, bravely ventured into the realm of waffles. Her plate arrived bearing four desolate waffle sections, flopped with all the enthusiasm of a damp dish rag. No fanfare, no fruit, no whipped cream – just a stark, minimalist statement of “here are some waffles. Now eat them.” It was a profound lesson in the art of doing the absolute bare minimum.
Despite the restaurant being only half-filled, our service was a masterclass in controlled chaos – simultaneously inattentive and rushed.
One can only hope that no member of our family ever, under any circumstances, suggests a return visit. I’d rather eat my own underwear, and I’m fairly certain it would offer more flavor and better value.

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Mollies in San Juan Capistrano. Lizette was my wonderful and friendly server. I ordered Mollies country breakfast with scrambles eggs and country potatoes and a cup of nice tasty coffee. The ambiance was pleasant and upbeat and the service, food and staff w were amazing. Salvador was also very professional and friendly upon arriving and at checkout. Highly recommended!

Drove down the Ortega Highway to San Juan Capistrano with friends.
Came here due to the number of reviews on Google. Over thousand with a score of 4.5 .
Service did not disappoint from the moment we arrived. Place was busy with customers. All the staff was friendly and engaging.
Our drinks were constantly topped off. Our waitress was accomadating. Always making sure our choices were to our likening.
The amount of food you get and price was on point.
Outside patio you are allowed to have your pet sit by your side.
Mollies does not disappoint. It’s great experience from beginning to end.
You won’t be disappointed with your choice!

My husband was wanting to try a new breakfast place and was craving biscuits and gravy. I found Mollies and they have great reviews so we decided to try it. The staff was very friendly and very nice. My husband ordered the country breakfast and he really enjoyed it especially the biscuits and gravy. He did not leave anything on the plate lol. I ordered the half sandwich BLT with salad. The bread was really good and soft for being toasted. They give you a lot of food and the prices are absolutely amazing. We definitely will be coming back when we are in the area.

Love this cozy place! The plates are huge and you can get breakfast all day. It reminds me of all the old places here in San Juan that are all gone. The staff is always friendly and you can tell that customers come regularly because of the family vibe.

Such a cute classic diner experience. The staff was warm and friendly and the food was great with generous portion sizes. When we arrived to the restaurant we were seated right away and took our drink order within a few minutes. The food selection is diverse with something for everyone and our 3 year old loved the bowl of strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. Overall great experience!
