Social Profile:

Since 1941 Molina’s Cantina has played an integral role within the Houston dining community. More than 80 years after opening the first restaurant, Molina’s Cantina continues to serve its neighbors at three locations around the city. As the third generation to run the family’s restaurants, brothers Roberto, Ricardo and Raul, III, offer many of the original dishes alongside fresh menu updates over the years. Generations of families have enjoyed countless plates of Tex-Mex favorites, including the legendary Enchiladas de Tejas (cheese enchiladas with chili gravy), Jose’s Dip (creamy queso with spicy taco meat), chili con carne (an original recipe!) and the renowned margaritas, all while being welcomed as part of the extended Molina’s family.

I visited the well-known Molina’s Cantina Mexican restaurant for the first time and tried their “Deluxe Dinner” lunch special. The dish came with a generous amount of food. After I was seated, a server brought over a large basket of chips, three salsas, and a side of pickles. The Deluxe Dinner consisted of a beef taco, a cheese enchilada, a bean tostada, a tamale with chili, chili con queso, rice, and beans. Everything was delicious. The server was very friendly and efficient. I also had the opportunity to speak with Tony, the manager, who kindly explained the different components of the dish and how to enjoy them. It was an educational experience for me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for Tex-Mex cuisine.

We came for dinner and everything was excellent. Food, atmosphere, and drinks were excellent; however, the service was exceptional! We sat in the bar and were not exactly sure who our server was, but it was the best service we have had in a long time! We got visited by no less than 3 or 4 different staff members to ensure we were good, everything was tasting good, etc. This was the perfect balance of attentiveness without feeling pushy at all. Overall, kudos to the staff in the bar and we will definitely be back!

This place just hits every time. This is our absolute go to place for Mexican cuisine in Fulshear. I have had nothing bad on this menu. Customer service has always been 10/10 from the moment you walk in to the food, service and check the experience is always a delight.

Highly recommended are the Chicken Fajita for 2, with charro beans and corn or flour tortillas. The green sauce with the chips and dip are amazing.

Top it off with a margarita and you will have yourself an amazing experience.

This will continue to be one of our top date night spots.

I ordered some to go flautas from here the other night and pick it up only to get home and open the container to find them MELTED THROUGH THE STYROFOAM CONTAINER. Why are you putting piping hot food directly onto the styrofoam container without at least a piece of tinfoil or something??? I ate a little and then was grossed out by the chemicals leeched into my food…. Probably invest in different containers that the food doesn’t melt through? What a bummer

️⭐️ 5/5 — Fantastic Experience at Molina’s in Fulshear

Molina’s in Fulshear continues to be one of my go-to spots for great Tex-Mex. The quality of the food is consistently excellent—everything arrives hot, fresh, and full of flavor. If you go, you have to try José’s Dip. It’s easily one of the best items on the menu: rich, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addictive.

The Lunch Deluxe is also one of the best values around. You get a lot of food for the price, and everything on the plate tastes like it was made with care. It’s rare to find a lunch combo that generous and still priced right.

On top of the food, the bar staff truly makes the experience. Glenjamin, Dioma, and Kevin are top-tier—friendly, attentive, fast, and always welcoming. They remember faces, mix great drinks, and create the kind of atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

Overall, Molina’s in Fulshear delivers great food, unbeatable value, and a bar team that makes every visit feel like you’re among friends. Highly recommend.

Molinas Mexican Restaurant offers a visually stunning atmosphere that immediately impresses upon arrival. The decor is warm, inviting, and authentically styled, creating a truly immersive dining experience. Whether you’re seated inside or on the charming patio, the ambiance is one of the restaurant’s strongest highlights.

Unfortunately, the service does not match the beauty of the setting. Staff seemed inattentive, and it took longer than expected to receive our food and drinks. Even when our orders arrived, there was little engagement from the servers, making the experience feel impersonal.

As for the food, while the presentation was appealing, the flavors were disappointingly bland. Dishes lacked the bold, vibrant spices typically associated with great Mexican cuisine, leaving much to be desired. With such a stunning atmosphere, it’s a shame the food doesn’t live up to expectations.

Overall, Molinas is a great spot for ambiance, but if you’re looking for flavorful dishes and attentive service, you may leave feeling underwhelmed.

We dropped by here on a Friday after a multi-year hiatus. Staff was welcoming and professional. We got seated quickly and the chips, salsas, and water were brought out just as fast. I liked that our waiter knew the drink menu and what was available at the bar. The margarita hit the spot and, whew, I could only drink one cause…wow. Mexican food sometimes isn’t photogenic, but it was very tasty. The seating area is huge but also cozy and there’s a big parking lot. I thought the food was reasonably priced. I’d rate as one of the better Mexican restaurants in town.

The chicken fajita is my favorite choice! Its tender and full of flavor. The mango margarita was a little on the rough end. Recommend to upgrade from the house tequila in the mango margaritas. Dinner service was not busy and plenty seating. Fresh flour tortillas were perfect!

This is a really good Mexican (tex-mex) restaurant.
This being my first visit I ordered my gold standard, chicken enchiladas. They we as good as the best I have ever had, and not floating in cheese either. I like that in a chicken enchilada.
The rice was light and flavorful. The refried beans were tasty but not pretentious.
My wife ordered a soup, which she couldn’t stop complementing.
Service was fantastic. Note however, we were there on an off time and the restaurant was almost empty.
In one visit Molina’s jumped to the top of our non- pappasitoes tex-mex restaurant list.
