It is surprising that this restaurant is not popular yet. They have the authentic and best dosa and medu vada in Hamburg I have ever eaten.
They were super delicious and filling.
First time I see Bengaluru style open Dosa in Hamburg.
Their menu is so versatile, I want to come back again to try all other items.
I highly recommend to visit.

I started my lunch with the authentic taste of rasam, which was so comforting and yummy.. The hyderabad chicken biriyani was the best when combined with mutton chukka my most fav combo.. ended with having this delicious carrot always, that’s my all time fav sweet and rose milk was like a cherry on the top overall if you wanna taste and experience the best Tamilnadu dish then I would recommend Molaga is the best in Hamburg!

I recently tried the mutton biryani at Mologa Restaurant in Hamburg, and it was absolutely amazing! The taste instantly reminded me of authentic home-cooked food back in India. The mutton was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, and the spices were well balanced — not too overwhelming, just perfect.

The aroma, the texture of the rice, and the overall presentation were excellent. It truly felt like eating a homemade biryani rather than restaurant food. For anyone missing real South Indian-style flavors in Hamburg, this place is a must-visit.
Highly recommended! I will definitely come back again

Honest opinion!

We ordered Hyderabadi Chicken biriyani, chicken kottu parota, idly & Medhuvada.

Hyderabadi biriyani- 0 out of 5. Nothing in it was near similar to actual Hyderabadi biriyani or any biriyani.

Chicken kottu parota – 4.5 out of 5. It was top notch. May be could ask for little spicy for spice lovers. For me it was good balance.

Idly – 2.5 of 5. Was ok not bad but not good as we usually get in India. Don’t keep high hopes.

Medhu Vada – 4.5 of 5. Was crispy and similar to what we get in India but the chutney & sambar was 1 out of 5. It. Cancelled out the goodness of medhu vada.

In general, it seems like the cook is from Tamil Nadu, hence dishes from that region were really good.

We had an incredibly authentic and delicious South Indian food experience… The place just smells like a traditional Kalyana Pandhi – the kind of aroma that pulls you right inside. The spice levels in every dish were perfectly balanced, suitable for Germans and Kids as well. Dishes were served continuously without long waits during the buffet, making the whole dining experience smooth and satisfying…

Molaga is a true hidden gem in Hamburg! Unlike many places that adapt flavors for European taste buds, this restaurant keeps its South Indian food completely authentic. The dosas, curries, and spices are simply delicious and full of genuine flavor. The staff are friendly and happy to guide you through the menu, making the experience even better. Warm atmosphere, authentic taste, and excellent service — Molaga is hands down one of the best spots for real Indian food in the city.

Most important is that every single item in the menu card is made for you after you order. We had fresh Vada’s Very authentic south Indian flavours. I was happily surprised at the authenticity because usually restaurants compromise to serve local customers. At Molaga, it was with great satisfaction we dined. You need to tell the chef Ms. Mohana to make it spicy if needed and enjoy the delights. Must try Filter Coffe and desserts.

It was difficult to not have a South Indian Restaurant in Hamburg all these years but, since 2025, I don’t have to worry about it because Molaga is here! The food is authentic and reminds me of the food back home. I’ve been going here since an year not jus for the taste but also for the affordable price! Everything on the Menu is a must try! They often have combos or special festival editions, and they encourage reservations for large groups too!
