Big, bold restaurant with fabulous flavors. As you enter, you immediately notice the large space and decorated walls. Then the smell of BBQ hits you, and you can’t wait to order. All of our food came out quickly and was delicious. Staff was great! Really loved the HUGE order of onion rings and the blackened catfish. But most all, we loved the laid back, happy vibe here. Fantastic!

This place is overall amazing! Our server was Armin and he provided exceptional service and added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. He was very thorough explaining the menu and made some excellent suggestions . The burnt ends were the best we have had! My husband had pulled pork shoulder and I had the St Louis spare ribs and neither of us needed sauce. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The sides were great and the sweet tea was fantastic! If you are looking for some great bbq, this is the place!!

Tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed it! The staff was so friendly and attentive, especially our server Jia.
I ordered the blackened catfish and the person with me ordered the turkey. Both came out great! Good prices for the meal portions. The blues-themed decorations are nifty, and the atmosphere was cozy. I’ll have to come back sometime when they have live music.

Ordered the pit smoked chicken, collard greens and sweet potato mash. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. I brought home plenty of leftovers. If you like your bourbon with a bit of a bite, give the flying peach cocktail a try, but they have several others to choose from. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive to our table. We will be back during our next trip to Jacksonville.

I was disappointed int he bbq. The burnt ends I got were very dry, and not moist at all. I had to cover them in sauce to make them go down easier. So that was a pretty big disappointment from a bbq joint. The ribs were the star of the show, decent smoke ring, moist and good flavor with no sauce needed. Under seasoned, watery sweet potato mash, similarly under seasoned slaw. The nashville hot chicken was a joke, just a piece of fried chicken. I don’t know if they gave me the wrong order, or if that’s how they serve it, but that’s not nahshville hot chicken. Wouldn’t go back, frustrated we chose to go in the first place. Plenty of parking, and friendly service.

Visited around 5pm on a weeknight and we had no wait. Our server (named Jacob or Jason) advised it was happy hour so we enjoyed reduced price cocktails and an appetizer of fried pickles. The service was great, the ambiance and decor was unique and the drinks were amazing. The meats were also pretty tasty and very tender. But the sides need quite a bit of improvement in my opinion. My companion had the 2 meat platter with mashed potatoes and green beans and I had the brisket with collards and mac and cheese. The green beans were the only side that was decent. The collards had zero flavor and the mac and cheese was bland and mushy. I couldn’t even eat the cornbread. I rarely eat canned foods but a can of glory greens and box of jiffy mix would have tasted better.
I’m from North Carolina so perhaps it’s a cultural or regional difference but when I eat barbecue and or southern inspired foods I expect the food to be seasoned. Simply adding some seasoning to the vegetables and sharp cheddar to the mac would go a long way toward improvement. Our server was exceptional and whoever makes the drinks (the mojito is the best I’ve ever had!) deserves kudos which is basis for the generous 4 star rating.

The brisket is good, so are the ribs. We did also like the sweet potato. Corn was tasty as well. The drinks where good too ! they have happy hour from 3-7. The pulled pork we think could had been a bit better but morning to complain about. Our waitress was really pleasant too. Also before I forget we recommend there boom boom shrimp and we liked the sweet sauce the best. Good flavor. Unfortunately there beans weren’t to tasty. Nice vibe I’m there though. Art on the walls definitely a place to try.

Very good food. Would recommend the shrimp and grits. We also ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer. The Brunswick stew was delicious. Loved their cocktails. The sangria was everything! Great service. Bar was a tad bit slow but we went on 7/4 and expected wayyyy slower service than that. Would return.

We thoroughly enjoyed this place. The bartender Zach was terrific and makes a mean Mojito. The wings are off the chain, some of best brisket we’ve had in awhile. The ribs, Mac and Cheese, and blackeyed peas were excellent as well.

Our server was amazing. Very nice and attentive. But the food was terrible. Both my Fiancé and I felt terrible after eating there. The food did not taste good at all. The salad croutons were like biting into Jaw Breakers. I ordered the Mojo dinner. The chicken breast looked like it was just thrown together. With bacon and cheese on top. Wife ordered the salmon with green beans and fries. The fries looked and tasted terrible. The green beans were very bland. Again the service was great. But the food is trash.
