I never ate at the village district location before, however my experience this afternoon was not good. The staff wasn’t to welcoming and the food was sub-par. The grillers were ok for what they were. But the rice for my bowl was largely glumped up and seemed over cooked. The chicken didn’t taste good. And I was only able to eat a small portion of my food. The best part of the whole of the place was the free chips/ salsa which I don’t eat but my daughter said were good. Will be calling management for a refund. 29 for my meal, what a disappointment.

My first time eating at this Moe’s location and I was definitely disappointed. For starters, the woman who waited on me was not nice and had an attitude, which was unbecoming for someone in her position. When I asked a question about the preparation of my food, the look and response was so unprofessional. My food was then passed on to another guy who wrapped have of my food buy left the other half exposed. I had to ask him to wrap the entire sandwich. I should not have had to do that… Good grief! Next, when he took my payment, which was cash and change. Once the transaction was complete, he never removed his gloves, but with the same ones he used to handle dirty money, he proceeded on to the next food bagging. Next I observed an employee by the sweet tea preparing to refill it. I stood there and watched her pour the contents of the container into the sweet tea canister and mix it with a stick or spoon of some sort. What was appalling was the fact that when she pulled her hand out it was wet and she had no gloves on… Yuck! I passed on the sugar with a touch of tea. Last turn off was the dirtiness of this restaurant. From the missing beverage tops, to the plastic containers probably for catering, spread out everywhere, to the garbage on the floor, no lid on the sweet canister, and sauce drippings on the counter section where the sauce is located. The top of the sauce station was also full of dust. The pictures taken tell me everything I need to know about this Moe’s and I certainly won’t be eating here again. Absolutely Not!!!

Ordered through doordash. It was good. Reminded me of the original location in Atlanta. Had the burrito bow and taco. 10/10. Fresh and flavorful.

My girlfriend ordered online today for me and they didn’t have an option to add extra black olives (I really like black olives) so I wrote it in the comments. Thinking it was a long shot anybody even reads those comments, however, to my surprise they gave me extra olives on my bowl and in a little container for me! Thank you so much to whoever for doing that, you put a smile on our face and made our day!

Update: as others have said, the staff here are consistently the most rude, uncaring, or incompetent of any comparable restaurant in Raleigh. Since I ordered a bowl, queso, and guac, I asked for “a little extra chips” and the cashier dumped a pound of broken greasy chips in a bag. I really hope the culture at this store can improve.

I come here for good tortilla chips and cheap texmex. The staff are sometimes rude, poorly trained, and they seem to hate their job. The tables are usually dirty and the person taking orders often seems new and clueless.

They don’t have any decent hot sauce, only a watered down kind of salsa. Their steak is overcooked and low quality and the rice is always stale. On the plus side, they will get you extra chips for no charge.

First time at this location. Got a burrito bowl with steak. The food wasn’t great – my honest feelings were that chipotle or cava would’ve been way better.

I recently visited your establishment, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the staff’s lack of friendliness, but what stood out the most was the girl who prepared my food. She was incredibly rude and dismissive when I made a simple request. I asked if I could get the queso on the side, as I prefer to control how much I eat, but her response was unprofessional and downright frustrating. She told me, “We don’t do it that way here,” without offering any alternative or explanation, as if it was completely out of the question. I’ve never encountered such a rigid and unfriendly attitude, especially in a customer service setting.

Additionally, the portion sizes were very skimpy, especially for the price I paid. I’ve been to plenty of places with similar menus where the portions were much more generous. It’s disappointing to pay for a meal and still feel hungry afterward because the serving was so small. When I brought this up to the girl preparing my food, she didn’t even acknowledge my concern. It felt like she couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction.

This entire experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and I’m really frustrated by the lack of professionalism and quality. I was expecting a much more enjoyable dining experience, but instead, I left feeling dissatisfied and upset. I would highly encourage your management to reevaluate how your staff interacts with customers and the quality of food being served. This was not the level of service or product I was expecting from a place with such a reputation.

I really don’t like it when I have to wait a long time for a. Order and the employees are moving slow/talking. I don’t mind waiting when it’s busy, but when it’s not, busy and the employees are having full blown conversations as they make you wait, well I have an issue with that.

We went on to pick up an online order. There was no Welcome shout, which is fine, but no acknowledgement at all. The carryout shelf was empty, so we waited for them to put our order on it. After about 5 minutes someone asked if we had an online order and handed us the bag. FIVE minutes we were ignored while we thought they were still preparing our food, but it was sitting behind the counter. It was cold. If they’re not going to put food on the carryout shelf, get rid of it and acknowledge people when they come in. The food had clearly been sitting. They gave a 30 minute time from order to pickup, but you could tell it had been ready way before. The guac was brown.
The store was filthy. Our feet literally stuck to the floor. I feel bad for people wanting to eat inside. Tables needed wiping down for sure.
We won’t be back to this location. Our normal location was out of some ingredients so we went to this one. Never again…
