I love Moe’s in Eagle Colorado. So of course I want to try Moe’s in Steamboat Springs while I’m here. Let me just say there’s a huge difference in quality of food and inside atmosphere. When I get there where I parked at I had to walk through smokers to get into the building, Major turnoff. Inside the smell from the smoker was so intense that after a while He got hard to breathe, it just felt like they were smoking the meat inside. I ordered the catfish plate, two pieces of cornbread, banana pudding and gumbo. Now I asked if the gumbo was spicy, I was told no, it was. It reminded me of Campbell’s soup gumbo and the more you ate it the hotter it got in spice. My banana pudding, it was very soupy, dripped off my spoon back into its container and it tasted yucky. My catfish was good. My cornbread was burnt now they always put it on the grill and brown it but the bottom and around the corner edges of it was burnt like they overcooked it in the pan. I’m not too sure why this place has so many stars because as my first experience there, I’m 100% turned off from ever visiting that location again. And now it makes me even more weary of visiting the other Moe’s BBQ locations out there. Eagle will be the only one.

The food was good – enjoyed the smoked wings and the pulled pork group meal. Beans, Mac n cheese, and slaw all were good sides.

However my issue with this place was the old man working the register. He was incredibly rude and dismissive towards me. It was pretty upsetting and unfortunately I do not think I will return to this establishment due to this.

The catfish. Cornbread and hush puppies are wonderful. Portions could’ve been a little bigger for the price. Beer was cold

Highly recommend! Delicious food and awesome atmosphere. Televisions throughout for sports nights. Killer music on the speakers. Plenty of seating indoors and outside. I stop a few times a month for a kids meal, my kiddo loves the Mac and cheese and tenders, and we are always treated with kindness, respect and great customer service in a timely fashion. Cam and Steph were the best and a joy to interact with. The food is always and fresh and cooked just right. And the sauces are to die for. The sandwiches and plates are super filling and we almost always have leftovers. Good vibes abound in this cool little BBQ joint. They even have live music and tasty beer on tap. Be sure to try the jalapeño corn bread. We will be back! Thanks Moe’s.

Awesome BBQ, Not your run of the mill BBQ joint with over priced bland meat. Everything we had was great with decent size portions. The catfish and chicken wings were some of the best I’ve had. Outdoor patio with a good view.

If the hush puppies were any harder I would have broke my tooth. Also can’t debone a chicken worth crap.

Buddy at the bar yelled across the restaurant for me to pick up my beer. If I’m leaving a tip the least you can do is walk 10 feet to give me my drink I over payed for.

Terrible service, terrible food, overpriced.

What used to be a good establishment has fallen like Rome. If you care about your dollar value do not go here. 0/10.

I’ll give this place 6 months before the doors close, no wonder why the tables are empty 6 PM on a Saturday. Good luck with your 40% food cost and your negative balance sheet.

Wow! Super impressed! This is another time I was too excited about the food to remember to take a picture

We were not sure if they were dog friendly or not but they ARE! They had two or more dog water bowls on their outside seating patio.

Beyond that, not only had they fed over 300 firefighters before we came in for dinner, they still had their full menu minus only one item!

And the quality was top notch. I was leaning toward the pound of garlic buffalo smoked wings but the gentleman taking our order said the dry run was his favorite. Not one to put off a good recommendation I ordered those.

The group also had the fried shrimp and catfish with a variety of sides. Everything was perfectly seasoned, flavored, and prepared.

I could eat here everyday!

If you’re looking for a good BBQ place in steamboat, look no further. Moe’s is the place to go!

Had a pound of wings in garlic sauce but seasoning was so peppered it over took any garlic flavor. They were still good but not what I thought I was getting. I visited the Moe’s in Oregon and even though they are a chain independently owned the experience was better.

This was the most underwhelming food experience I’ve had since I’ve been in steamboat. I was excited to try southern style food for the first time but I was extremely disappointed with what I received. When I think of southern food I think saucy, smothered, juicy and bursting with flavour. The food was none of those things. I can say it was seasoned but not to my liking.
I didn’t enjoy the ribs one bit, they were tender but I just really hated the flavour and didn’t enjoy the sauce.

We had the smoked chicken, Ribs, Gumbo;which tasted like it came straight out of a can, cornbread, mud pudding and mac and cheese.
I can say the staff was pleasant and when it comes on to the ambiance of the place;it’s a place you can get loud and rowdy without getting weird stares (loud friend group/family).

I would not go back but I would never discourage anyone from trying it, there have been many positive reviews and I think if that’s the type of thing that’s up your alley try it and leave a review. You just might love it.

Guy who takes orders is ok but best known for talking extremely loudly at the top of his lungs even if he is right in front of the customer. Like that every time we go in. Drowns out normal conversation. Probably explains how most people do take out.
