First off, realize you’re going to be eating outside at a picnic table. With that in mind, the setting was superb, with umbrellas at most tables and amazing views! The ribs were tender and the pulled pork had a great texture. Tender but not mushy. The jalapeño grits and grilled cornbread were spot on! This is a must-stop when in Leadville.

Awesome BBQ, highly recommend getting the marinated beans as side. Relaxed outdoor area with some games to hang. We didn’t intended eating here, but happy we did!!

Good place in Leadville to get some BBQ. It’s a little difficult to find, it’s off one of the side streets. We found it by smelling the smoke and asking. The atmosphere is really cool with outdoor benches and an indoor area as well. They have outside ice tea and lemonade as well as soda that they give you when you order.
The pulled pork was really good and the Macaroni and cheese were ok, a little drie nothing special but good. The sweet tea wasn’t sweet at all like down south but ok as well. The only negative thing I can think of is that there’s is only 1 type of BBQ sauce and it’s got a little kick to it ( for me I’m not a spicy eater). The only down side I see is it would be nice to have a couple sauce choices instead of just one. All in all a good place to get some good BBQ and we would definitely go back.

We wanted to try this place after a long day of hiking Mt. elbert. This was our reward after we summited. Lol We had the Pork Ribs and the turkey and some sides, like coleslaw and mac cheese i think and something else, oh and moe’s bbq sauce. I wasn’t a fan of the turkey but it was still good, it was kind of dry so ya have to dip it in the sauce and also it was prob the last batch since we had to take everything they had coz they were about to close. But, the pork ribs tho, it was the bomb!! It was tender and juicy, no need for sauces whatsoever. Very well marinated. Like it was delicious!! Would def comeback here if ever we’re in leadville or nearby town. I recommend this place. Go try it out if you’re in town.

Nice little place set back off of the main drag on a street with plenty of easy access parking. Walk up window with a large patio area with picnic tables with umbrellas, corn hole toss, etc which makes for a nice outdoors atmosphere. Went with a basic pulled pork sandwich – added extra BBQ sauce from the bottles on the counter. Nothing fancy or large, but a good solid meal that came with 2b sides. Easier access and quicker service than a lot of the places on the main road through town.

By far the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time, possibly ever. Every single item we ordered was flavorful and delicious!! Sandwiches, ribs, beans, banana and chocolate puddings, even the sauce. Beer selection was good too and the seating area was nice. We stopped after completing some off road driving; it would be a perfect spot to stop after a bike ride too!! Would be nice if every table had shade, customers were avoiding the sunny tables. Dog friendly, including a shared water dish.

Poorly done it looks more like a construction site than a restaurant. For the prices charged it’s disappointing. The ribs were so, so and appear to be frozen imported meat, not fresh meat. The cornbread had some kind of spots in it, bugs or dirt? The Mac and cheese was a gooey mess, obviously microwaved. Pass on this place, its way overpriced and has no table service. Leadville has a long way to go to get a decent restaurant.

Everything was excellent! We had a small rib plate & a smoked turkey plate. Each cam with 2 sides and toasted corn bread. The cauliflower, beans and Banana Pudding was great. Mac and Cheese was okay. Seating was mostly outside but the have a small inside dining area. They do serve the ribs sauced, next time I will get sauce on the side.
