Wow, like man, I haven’t had BBQ like this in a while. It was great! Plenty of options for meats and sides and drinks, which means it’s always hard to pick. The brisket was juicy and tender, the chicken was delicious, and oh boy the ribs, I could have eaten a ton of those, they were seriously great. The mashed potatoes and hush puppies were the standout sides of what we ordered, but everything was great. Also super fast, like we ordered at the counter and sat down and the food was there! Not crazy priced for a group too

I’m in town from New York City and I tried Moe’s today. The owner is such a nice Nice Guy and recommended the pulled pork sandwich, which was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. I felt the need to make this review after reading that completely heinous and false review that someone’s posting about the owner and something about hair and their food and racism that’s completely stupid. This guy is a great guy in the restaurant even better. The food is amazing. You can’t go wrong.

Stepping into Moe’s BBQ in Boulder, CO, my friend and I were in search of that authentic backyard BBQ experience. Unfortunately, Moe’s didn’t quite hit that mark for us.
The food was okay – not great, not terrible, just somewhere in the middle. On top of that, a few items we had our eyes on from the menu weren’t available, which was a bit of a letdown.
Portion sizes also left something to be desired. When you’re out for BBQ, you’re expecting hearty servings, and it felt like Moe’s fell short in that department.
To sum up, if you’re on the hunt for a true, down-home BBQ experience in Boulder, CO, you might want to keep looking. Moe’s BBQ is okay for a quick bite, but don’t set your expectations too high.

Awesome service! Cheryl was so sweet and recommended the collard greens which I loved and obviously the jumbo which was some of the best I’ve ever had. The pulled pork sandwich Alabama style was very unique and had a vinegary taste to it. If you’re looking for something different and a change of pace from your typical barbecue this place is awesome!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. A week ago, my husband and I came in for a meal and found hair in our food. Not only was this utterly disgusting, but when we brought it to the staff’s attention, we received no compensation, and our entire dining experience was ruined.
Earlier today, my husband called the store to report the situation. The management assured us that if we came in, our meal would be taken care of. Trusting their word, we arrived about 45 minutes later and explained the situation to the girl at the register, who took our order without any issues.
However, as we were waiting for our food, a worker from the back approached us and began yelling, accusing us of trying to pull a scam and claiming he was the one who made the food last week, so there was no way there could have been hair in it. He caused a huge scene, completely embarrassing us in front of other customers.
We called the owner to address this unacceptable behavior and make the situation right, but they were not willing to help. We strongly feel this incident was racially motivated, as both my husband and I are Black. We doubt a white couple would have been treated in this way or accused of trying to scam right off the bat.
It’s absolutely ridiculous that this restaurant is okay with having hair in their food, which is a clear health code violation, and with their workers yelling at customers. This behavior is unacceptable, and we will not be returning. I strongly advise others to avoid this place to prevent a similar unpleasant experience.

Guys and Gals, if you want savory, juicy, perfect BBQ in Boulder look know further. Moe’s had it going on! Great portions, clean facilities, great meats. And the cornbread was a perfect golden brown, not too crumbly, not too crunchy. The atmosphere was great as well. Don’t pass it up.

Disappointing. I ordered using the menu online for pickup – the brisket platter to go with a side of slaw and chips. I also ordered a side of cornbread. I wanted to order fries, and was hoping chips was the same thing. I checked the website and review photos and found no photos that showed fries or potato chips. Well, I ended up with a bag of potato chips. The brisket was OK – it lacked anything more than the flavor of beef. And the slaw was a vinaigrette-style, which didn’t sit well in my stomach – i much prefer the traditional mayo type. The cornbread was the only standout – with some butter added, it was among the best I’ve ever had, but won’t be enough of a reason to go back.

@moesoriginalbbq_boulder is easily my favorite brisket in Boulder. Their sides are always amazing. Today I had the cornbread dressing and squash casserole.

Moe’s is one of the few BBQ places open on Sunday here in Boulder. The place has a fun smoke house feel and the staff made the trip fun. I love to watch football with an ice cold beer and Moe’s fits that model great. Upslope on tap and good food made it a fine time.
