This place used to be Axel’s Restaurant I would fly out from California to go visit Paisley Park and make reservations at this location where Prince used to eat. He had a private booth during my travel in 2025 in November my party when to this location to make reservations we met up with Tony should we assured us that are reservation was confirmed for whatever reason her personality was not acceptable towards us. The following day we call to confirm they say that we were not on the list the owner accommodated as we arrived the food was great and unfortunately we had Tony as the waiter yet again notice her personality towards us was unwelcoming. The owner approached us and conversed about the booth we thank her for keeping the boothand please and a curtain if possible for the nostalgic look. however we do not like Tony service.

My wife said the Chicken Marsala was really good. I got Moe’s Mac – N – Cheese with burnt ends, tasty but half the ends were really hard and had a slightly different flavor. Our server, got a nice tip! She checked on us a few times and was very helpful. Nice job Moe’s Char House!

Very nice lunch restaurant for business meeting. The servers were great and attentive, short of drink refills. They give you a couple bottles of water for the tanks though. Nice diverse menu that will easily accommodate most pallets and dietary choices. Definitely would return and recommend.

Janet was our server (per our request).
Great suggestion on new menu items. Great attention to detail and customer service. Duck & corn wontons ..amazing. New York strip cooked perfect. Colossal onion rings always an excellent treat. Mac & cheese ooey gooey.
Carrot cake …succulent.

Overall experience was pleasant. Service was nice despite a couple of hiccups and atmosphere was nice, kind of an odd layout. My friend had the Korean bowl and the rice was hard yet chewy. The meat was overcooked so that was a disappointment. I like to try Reubens whenever I see them on the menu. The bread was good, the meat was tender, but I wasn’t a big fan of their 1000 island dressing on the sandwich. I will say however, the sweet potato fries were delish.

Visited for the 1st time tonight! We got right in with no wait, likely due to it being a very cold Tuesday. Casual vibes, which was perfect since we had our 10 month old baby with us. The service was excellent, and we ordered the wings (one with Moe’s sauce and one dry rub), and they were outstanding! We also had the blistered green beans and Mac n cheese, which were also very good. We will definitely be back!

Like I said in an earlier review which I had to delete in order to post this one, I’ve been a customer since 2015 when it was originally Axle’s and was disappointed when they shut down around the pandemic. Moreover I was skeptical of Moe’s when they took over and after about six visits came to realize there are better options in the Chanhassen/Eden Prairie/Minnetonka area.

The staff at Moes is Fantastic. My family needed to have about 20 teens get together and practice for a dance. We used their private room and patio. Everyone was so Friendly and helped us out. The food was also fantastic 10 out 10.

Thank you!

The drinks, the apps and the entree was all very good. I loved the tequila old fashion. I ordered the Moe’s wings and pork chop and both were extremely good. I highly recommend the pork chop. Others from my group had the pizza fries, that looks like a pizza on cauliflower (gluten free), onion rings (the size of a donut), burger, and the steak bites. All of which was eaten or taken home.

I gave them another shot and Im even more disappointed the second time around. I had the Kobe Kai stir fry bowl and it was beyond terrible. The rice was absolute mush. Think overdone risotto. The name “Kobe” would indicate some sort of beef with the bowl, but it was just under seasoned veggies with the disintegrated rice. To quote their menu online:
Kobe Kai Stir-Fry
Stir-fried beef, mixed vegetables, and rice noodles in a savory sauce, garnished with scallions and sesame seeds.

There was no meat, no scallions and certainly not noodles.

My dinner companion had pasta with overcooked limp noodles in Cajun sauce that was drowning the dish. One of the kiddos had a sirloin steak that was cooked to a medium rare perfection, but whatever seasoning or basting sauce they use is very off putting. We all tried a piece and agreed.

I would not waste my money here when there are plenty of great options just down hwy 5 in Eden Prairie. Such a bummer!

Original Review:
I was really excited to try this new spot in Chan, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The charm and atmosphere that Axel’s once had are completely gone. The space feels disjointed, with a clear division between the bar and dining room that lacks any sense of flow.

The dining room features these awkward crescent-shaped booths that make it nearly impossible to sit and talk comfortably with your companion. To engage in conversation, you’d need to prop a leg up and twist toward the other person. The tables for these booths are also oddly shaped half-circles, which made it cramped and impractical.

We ordered an appetizer and an entree each, and the plates were practically stacked on top of each other. The table was so small I had to hold my water glass because there was no room to set it down.

As for the food, it was disappointing. I had a burger that tasted like something you could get anywhere—mass-produced, with no noticeable seasoning or care in preparation. My friend ordered the lobster roll, which was overly fishy and chewy. The regular and sweet potato fries were just okay, while the onion rings were mostly batter with very little onion.

Given the price point, I expected much better quality—something on par with Redstone, but it fell far short.

On a positive note, the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable, which was a highlight of the experience.

I had hoped to find a new go-to spot to visit a few times a month, but sadly, this won’t be it.
