Spent $40 on CANNED & BLAND. I ordered the “Wings and 2 sides” and got 5 wing dings so small barely any meat and ABSOLUTELY NO seasoning, not even salt. The sides I order were Mac n cheese( 4/10 ) and candied yams (5/10). Not to mention the cornbread was more like Jiffy mix and vanilla cake mix with a heavy hint lemon extract? The “Southern Veggie Plate” I ordered candied yams , baked beans (3/10)(Bushes Maple Canned bake beans and was Cold) , and the Greens (3/10) ( Canned Collard Glory Greens with a hint of garlic and hot sauce). Temperature control is vital and the only thing decent were the “Hush puppies” (7/10). Never again.

In my experience of visiting this location on three separate occasions, the food is very inconsistent.
The first time I had the catfish it was good. The second time I had the catfish it was very fishy as if it was caught and not cleaned. And the third time I chose to visit this location. I did not have the catfish but I had sweet potatoes and it seemed like it was the bottom of the pot. The taste was good, however they were small like fruit cup cuts.
The Price is fair. And the young person working at the counter does not provide quality customer service . That’s my opinion during my two encounters with the same individual.

The food here was okay, the wings were a little small. The gumbo was amazing, great flavor and a nice portion size. Overall was a good meal. Will be going back to taste the fish, I heard it was good.

First time here , location was east to find and plenty of parking . There were so many options in the place , but I can for the soul food . The food was actually really really good . I had the fried catfish with yams and collard greens . Also had the kool-aid , was about $25 . Yams were sweet and delicious, greens were also very good . The catfish and cornbread both were cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place . My only critique is the cashiers took like 7 minutes to acknowledge my presence. She Was packaging another order , but could have at least said “hi, I’ll be with you in one second “ vs awkward silence . I was gonna walk away and try something else when she finally asked what I’d like to have . Other wise good experience

Good food good vibe. If your looking for some delicious soul food this is the place we almost ordered everything on the menu. Chicken, cat fish, gumbo was good, okra, rice, corn bread was good yams and greens were delicious, mac and cheese was okay could be a little more cheesy. Received the gee chee red rice with sausage and bacon by accident because they gave me that instead of my mac and cheese so I had to go back to get the mac but I liked the rice better. Definitely will be going back when I have a taste for some good fried chicken.

Great food and fast, friendly service. Had the fried chicken, greens and yams. Mom had the whiting fish, mac and cheese, and yams. The chicken, fish and greens were a tad salty but not too much to stomach. The fish wasn’t filleted but was still tasty. We ate all of the food so that speaks volumes, haha!! We will definitely be returning!!

I ordered the Catfish special that comes with two pieces of catfish and two sides for a total of $25.95 w/ tip. The service was quick and the manager was easy going and answered all of my questions as a first timer.
My order included two pieces of catfish with a side of greens and Mac. The catfish was seasoned beautifully but the greens lacked flavor. The Mac and Cheese was really dry and had practically no flavoring.
I would try them again because I hear the Gumbo is really tasty.

Service here was amazing! The cashier walked us through our confusion on what we thought we should order gracefully.
5 piece wings were served hot, fried fresh and were seasoned well however they were super small. Ordered regular and the ones with the dust. I think we should have gotten the 2 piece meal because it would have been a better deal but we were not sure originally on what to order.
They were out of the rice so we tried Greens and Mac n cheese were tasty. Cornbread was also good. Would not mind coming back to try other menu items like the fish and other items when we come back to town l.

Last night my husband ordered orange roughy with baked beans and macaroni and cheese. From the moment we picked it up, the fish had an extremely strong odor through the bag, which was very concerning. Unfortunately, our concerns turned out to be valid.
He ate the meal around 9:30 PM and later that night began violently vomiting. This continued until approximately 9:00 AM this morning. It was a very upsetting experience.
Based on this experience, we will not be returning. If it was too late in the evening to serve fresh food, the order should have been refused rather than serving food that may have been old or unsafe.
Food safety should always come first.
Response to Owner: This review was left yesterday 12/17/2025. When you read it would be a different time. It was 9am yesterday. I have my confirmation text stating that it was order 74. If you request for a review of the cameras, orange roughy was listed as one of the options. If you were not aware of them selling orange roughy on Tuesday evening, this may be a bigger issue. Thank you.
Update: I called as they stated in their response. I left my contact information and no one ever reached out.
