5 star the best curry goat anyone who cooks goat knows it’s hard to make goat soft. Decent portion for a medium cash only. I’ll deff be back. Plantains are also delicious.

The worst Jamaican restaurant I’ve ever had. Food is bland . Got a medium oxtail platter, they gave me 3 small oxtails with nothing but gravy. Vegetables were very mushy no taste at all.

The food here wss just ok. I had the oxtails and I have to agreed with other reviewers. I received 85% rice 10% meat and 5% vegetables.

I would have appreciate receiving a larger portion vegetables.

I recently ordered carry-out from Mobay Caribbean restaurant, and I have to say that my experience was fantastic! The customer service was great, and my food was ready on time. But the real star of the show was the jerk chicken. It was absolutely amazing! The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat. I could taste the smoky flavors, and the spices were spot on. It was hands down the best jerk chicken I’ve ever had.

The sides were just as impressive. The rice and peas were perfectly cooked, and the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Even the plantains were cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also tried the curry goat, and it was incredible. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the curry sauce had the perfect balance of spices.

Overall, I highly recommend Mobay Caribbean restaurant. The quality of the food is simply amazing, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean cuisine, you won’t be disappointed. The jerk chicken alone is worth the visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Awful!!! It’s like they season some chicken and cook generally, then if you order curried chicken, they quickly sauté it in a curry sauce. If you order brown stew, they just warm up in a brown stew sauce. I wasted my money- don’t waste yours! Not a good representation of Jamaican food.

6/29/22 I brought a friend here because years ago, (6+) I use to frequent here as it was the only Caribbean spot and the food was good. Where do I begin.
The food is still pricey … The place needs UPDATES, they were using one side of the establishment, the take out area could be a turn off when you walk in which need some serious renovation , The lightening is very dim from when I first came! Yet I went in still stuck on my pass and the food remain outstanding:
FOOD: whenever I visit a Caribbean spot late in the day (7pm). Since they are open till 10 pm I always ask what they have left in the kitchen! Because some places cook in bulk only twice a day . So she named ox tails/ browned stew chicken, rice&peas. Basically what we were there for. Our meals were saturated with brown gravy. Over the rice and peas ( which was dry and not fresh) each order had one pinky sized potato wedge. 2 small slices of banana and regular qty of fried plantain (3) , and a large amount of cabbage salad , Ox tails were greasy with little meat ( which meant bottom of pot) , the stew chicken was better than the ox tails. Just too much gravy. These are signs the place was running low, I will never say don’t go here … but I will say don’t come after 3 pm. For freshness and quality for take out!
