First we went through the drive thru window and we didn’t have to wait to long. It was our first time here and just happy that this place is in our neighborhood. We had the expectation that this place would be like all the other Mo’Bettahs. We order 2 regular plates and 1 mini plate. We didn’t think that coming home we would have an issue. Our expectations of Mo’Bettahs is just like any islander would think, the portions are good and the food is great. But I have to say this one time was a little disappointing. Even thought the food was good the portion size was not so much. As a customer If I order a regular two plate meat I expect that but instead I got 1 chicken Katsu spread across the plate and that equaled to 2 meat, I got that on both my regular plates. The mini plate was fine but man so disappointing coming home and opening that. I would suggest you check your plate before leaving because I should have done that but did not. I know this location is fairly new but just a suggestion when it comes to island food the portion sizes are always important! Mahalo

I had the Katsu Chicken and Shrimp Tempura in a regular plate. The katsu is the best I’ve had from a Hawaiian-style restaurant. It pairs well with the katsu or teriyaki sauce. The shrimp is okay, but lacks any seasoning and I wouldn’t order again. It’s definitely not worth the extra charge (even if it’s only $.50). The rice is unseasoned and needs to be drenched in teriyaki sauce. The mac salad is solid. The Spam Musubi is pretty good, especially if you’ve never had it, and it’s filling for the price. I don’t know what strangle-hold Red Creme Soda has on me, but I deem it a highly positive sign that they carry it here.
This location just had its grand opening. It replaced the Arby’s that had been around for decades. The service is friendly and helpful, and the speed and efficiency will increase as they train their new employees. They’ve got a drive thru to more rapidly satisfy your Hawaiian-food cravings. To be honest, I’m not a big fan of Hawaiian food, but this is a good Hawaiian restaurant, and I’ll eat here again.

Rice was cold and the teri steak was disappointing – very hard to chew, the outside was cooked but the inside was undercooked which spoiled my appetite.
Katsu and mac salad were good though!

I went to this new location shortly after they opened. The meal was below average. The chicken was under done and the steak was over done. Knowing that there would be a learning curve I determined to try them again. I have been back 3 additional times, each time through the drive-up, and it hasn’t improved much. My 2 choice meal with Teri Chicken, Teri Steak, Mac Salad and Rice (I never get cabbage) was very average. Portions were smaller than my normal order at another nearby location of the same restaurant, the steak was more like jerky and of course the Mac salad was very good as was the rice. I am afraid this was my last trip to this Draper location. It is much closer but I have been disappointed each time since they opened.

So needless to say I love Mo’bettas. It surprises me how good their food is and how consistent it is from store to store. I personally love the teriyaki and pulehu chicken. There are three of them within about ten minutes of my home, and I exercise them regularly I have been on a very specific diet for about three years and they have helped me hit my protein and carb numbers consistently.
The only thing I have had an issue with (but not very often, 2 times out of 20) is how many ounces of meat youre supposed to get. My go to is a regular plate with 2 chicken choices so that means 12oz of meat. Now, since i’ve been going here so much, I kind of know what 12 ounces looks like plus I meal prep a ton and once again know what it should looks like.
Every once in a while I ask how much im supposed to get, 100% of the time they say the right amount. And then I get home and look it over, then weigh it… now I get when they’re weighing it, sometimes there may be a stack of people in line and trying to eyeball a scale with 4 or 6 ounces of meat from each different style might be hard, or maybe the 1+1 math is hard in your head, i don’t know. I track all my food, also when you add up the cost of not getting 2oz on a $13 meal it’s expensive. I only bring it up because it happened today otherwise this review would be a rant on the deliciousness of the food here.
It will never stop me from going here. But I’ll just make sure and go through the line in the store instead of the drive through.
Thanks for having an amazing restaurant and atmosphere!!

Amazing! The mac salad makes me happy. I think about spam musubi far more than a healthy amount. I love the portions and I love all the different meats. I am so glad there is a location closer to my home now!

Third time I’ve been to this location. First time was great but the other two times were terrible. Second time all the food we ordered was raw. Third time was today. Ordered katsu chicken and teriyaki chicken, but only got teriyaki. Thought I would give this location a try one more time. Will not be returning anytime soon. Go to the Sandy one if you want your order right.

Oh my gosh! I loved it when I came to town! The atmosphere of the whole place was beautiful and generic! The food was amazing and was fast to get! And the workers were amazing! Particularly one that I believed was named Averie! She had the sweetest smile and was so pleased to help whenever someone needed it. And in my opinion really added to the atmosphere at the store! Loved it and would return! Would recommend!
