I only took a photo of the stir-fried green beans, but honestly, all the dishes were excellent. Highly recommended.
It’s a cash only restaurant.
All in all we all had a fantastic experience and will probably be back very soon.
I have visited displaced many times and I love their food, but this was the first time happen read blow.
Be aware people when you order chicken make sure it’s fully cooked. I order curry chicken, which was delicious while I was eating. There was one piece of chicken in it which was undercooked and I asked to return it and they made me garlic sauce chicken, which was also delicious, I took half of it go home when I was at home eating garlic sauce chicken next day it had also undercooked chicken. Make sure when you visit this place again asked them cook chicken fully. Totally unacceptable when you have a great restaurant like this who makes gourmet food and left chicken uncooked that’s not healthy that’s not safe for people who come and visit.
Service: service was great very attentive, people very friendly, polite.
Atmosphere: restaurant, ambient, and atmosphere is great. It’s very small, very tiny place. You sit very close to other people, but doesn’t matter. Of course, in Europe, every restaurant is very small tiny it’s understandable.
Mapo tofu was delicious with the right balance of tangy and hot, spicy peanut noodle broth was hot and sour, watermelon seaweed stew a bit anodyne and watery.
Absolute star was the malatang – numbingly spicy deep, rich broth with tofu and veg including lotus root.
Portions are BIG so if I was going again I’d get one main to share and some interesting sides. Casual, unobtrusive atmosphere with attentive but not overly friendly staff. Worth going out of your way to visit.
Expect for tonight!! They have opened there
What can only be described as an overflow area , next door, we were brought to the table which was already with 3 big tables of 6-8 people, 4 small tables of two , with one staff member! Yess one staff member for all those people. The room doesn’t even stock drinks!!
We were the last table to arrive , no table has drink orders , except the table of 8 was slowly getting there’s. the staff member had to go out to the street in the rain to enter main restaurant to put in an order , she was gone for 10mins , no other staff member was there. She then came back in the RAIN to the street with the drink orders for the other table , can only carry 2 drinks at a time so she then left again so get the rest of the drinks for the table of 8 , meanwhile the other 5 tables have yet to order a drink, never mind even food , we waited 15 mins and still no one approached. I even went to go to main restaurant to ask if another staff member was available to take orders , someone was sent in , I asked how does the food come in , to be told the way we enter , meaning , food comes from main restaurant, onto the street , it the lashing rain , to then come into this over flow room.
Seriously was shocked! We just said forget it we are leaving.
Restaurant was packed! Fair enough , but we also had a table booked ,
But that shouldn’t result in the overflow function room if you don’t have the staff to achieve basic service standards ,
Gone to popular and hungry for money, and lacking in basic service ethics
