Very delicious Sichuan food. Everything we ordered was full of flavour. The restaurant is clean, the food came out quickly, and the service was efficient.
I only took a photo of the stir-fried green beans, but honestly, all the dishes were excellent. Highly recommended.

The food was okay, but spicy and a little disappointing. The service was great, the waitress we had knew the whole menu from top to toe and had great recommendations!

It’s a cash only restaurant.

Hot and sour soup tasted fine, no meat, just one strip of crabstick, no prawn. Prawn dumplings were gelatinous and dense with no flavour. Fried rice came out lukewarm and white. Manager/owner? was asked, she argued that that was they way they serve, went to the kitchen and came back with a portion on better ( think boiled rice with scraps of egg) Funny thing was she was leaving with a container of fried rice that looked perfect! Customer comes last!! Would not recommend. Have been many times but this was the last.

This was the worst dinning experience I have had in this restaurant in the past two years. Food had been authentic until this Tuesday. Since when did Kongpao chicken (The second picture) become sweet, sour and so soupy?I ordered soy sauce braised pork but the dish served (the first picture) was totally different from the picture in the menu. I was stunned to see broccoli, carrots and even seaweed in it. There supposed to be only pork with some fat in between and cooked to a creamy texture with a sweet taste. However, the served dish was light in color and savory tasting. The pork was on the dry side. The texture was horrible. I asked the waitress why the dish was not as shown in the menu. She simply replied:”It is our style.” with a slice of embarrassment on her face. I asked the waiter if they had a different chef to hint nothing was done right tonight. His answer was negative and they couldn’t even bother with these two wrong dishes. I took my friend there, telling him they served authentic Chinese food here. Apparently, it was a slap on my own face.

We came to M&L Sichuan Chinese Restaurant to send off a dear friend, and it could not have been a better choice. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was absolutely incredible—bold, authentic flavors and beautifully prepared dishes that everyone at the table loved. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made our celebration feel even more special.

No airs and graces in this restaurant, but the food is out of this world and very reasonably priced for City Centre Dublin. The place was packed when we arrived which is always a good sign. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but it was well worth the wait. We got a meal for two and a bottle of white for 77 Euro. I had to look twice at the bill. I thought they had undercharged! The food was delicious. I am not a huge soup person, but the chicken and sweetcorn was delicious. Ribs were very tasty. Chicken, beef and vegetable dishes for the main courses were out of this world. Service was excellent. The proprietor is a great character and the staff are all friendly and very obliging. Just off O’Connell Street/Marlborough Street – I will be definitely going back!

Great atmosphere and service, we had our own private room for a leaving party. I had the duck in plum sauce, which was delightful, the deep fried squid which was morish and delicious, and the egg fried rice which was very good.

All in all we all had a fantastic experience and will probably be back very soon.

Food: this is gourmet Chinese cuisine very authentic. Very tasty delicious amazing.

I have visited displaced many times and I love their food, but this was the first time happen read blow.

Be aware people when you order chicken make sure it’s fully cooked. I order curry chicken, which was delicious while I was eating. There was one piece of chicken in it which was undercooked and I asked to return it and they made me garlic sauce chicken, which was also delicious, I took half of it go home when I was at home eating garlic sauce chicken next day it had also undercooked chicken. Make sure when you visit this place again asked them cook chicken fully. Totally unacceptable when you have a great restaurant like this who makes gourmet food and left chicken uncooked that’s not healthy that’s not safe for people who come and visit.

Service: service was great very attentive, people very friendly, polite.

Atmosphere: restaurant, ambient, and atmosphere is great. It’s very small, very tiny place. You sit very close to other people, but doesn’t matter. Of course, in Europe, every restaurant is very small tiny it’s understandable.

Easily the best Chinese food I’ve had in Dublin. Authentic Szechuan with numerous clearly labelled vegan options. Only does glass noodles for the vegan ones as guessing wheat noodles have egg, but that’s a personal preference.

Mapo tofu was delicious with the right balance of tangy and hot, spicy peanut noodle broth was hot and sour, watermelon seaweed stew a bit anodyne and watery.

Absolute star was the malatang – numbingly spicy deep, rich broth with tofu and veg including lotus root.

Portions are BIG so if I was going again I’d get one main to share and some interesting sides. Casual, unobtrusive atmosphere with attentive but not overly friendly staff. Worth going out of your way to visit.

Have been going to M&L for years! Always a fantastic experience!! Food service everything!!
Expect for tonight!! They have opened there
What can only be described as an overflow area , next door, we were brought to the table which was already with 3 big tables of 6-8 people, 4 small tables of two , with one staff member! Yess one staff member for all those people. The room doesn’t even stock drinks!!
We were the last table to arrive , no table has drink orders , except the table of 8 was slowly getting there’s. the staff member had to go out to the street in the rain to enter main restaurant to put in an order , she was gone for 10mins , no other staff member was there. She then came back in the RAIN to the street with the drink orders for the other table , can only carry 2 drinks at a time so she then left again so get the rest of the drinks for the table of 8 , meanwhile the other 5 tables have yet to order a drink, never mind even food , we waited 15 mins and still no one approached. I even went to go to main restaurant to ask if another staff member was available to take orders , someone was sent in , I asked how does the food come in , to be told the way we enter , meaning , food comes from main restaurant, onto the street , it the lashing rain , to then come into this over flow room.
Seriously was shocked! We just said forget it we are leaving.
Restaurant was packed! Fair enough , but we also had a table booked ,
But that shouldn’t result in the overflow function room if you don’t have the staff to achieve basic service standards ,
Gone to popular and hungry for money, and lacking in basic service ethics
