Incredible sandwiches. There is plenty of seating inside but our favorite spot is in the back. The little creek runs right alongside the tables and the atmosphere is calming. My wife and I have been there twice this month already and both times were nothing but stellar. The owner is super kind and attentive. I doubt you will find a better sandwich anywhere around.

We love MJ’s and were so happy to learn that they cater! We booked them for our wedding reception and they absolutely surpassed all our expectations. Chef Jordan made feeding 80 people look like a walk in the park! His team was amazing, specially Melissa (owner), who executed our vision to perfection! Great first time experience! I love Shepherdstown and everytime I’m visiting I try to dine at a new place each time. Very glad I finally got to try this little gem! Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Ok a cold rainy day I had to go with the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and included the ham and brie with the soup du jour, a mushroom sherry soup. The soups were extremely flavorful! The tomato was by far the best I’ve ever had! The owner/chef makes his own infused oils, and the tomato soup had the basil infused oil while the mushroom soup had scallion infused oil. It’s amazing what that little detail could do to the flavor of the soup! The sandwiches were outstanding and tasted extremely fresh! I really hope to make it in early enough sometime to try their breakfast as well. Very welcoming and quaint cafe with a humble yet outstanding menu.

I’m born and raised here and worked here for a little while. I’m so glad MJ’s opened. Amazing food, good vibes, and you have the town run flowing in the backyard patio which gives a perfect atmosphere to hang out, drink your coffee or enjoy some delicious, healthy, local food. My favorite’s are the Bagel Lox/ Cardinal for breakfast and the Grinder from the deli menu. Check it out you won’t be dissatisfied!

Awesome spot! We were driving through on a road trip and ended up parking and walking down the street and MJ’s caught our eye. As we were looking at the menu, the owner/chef encouraged us to come on in and we’re very glad we did! The sandwiches were both awesome and we ordered lemonade which was was so good my wife ordered another one for the road. The owner was super friendly and the whole experience made for a very enjoyable and memorable stop, probably the best of our trip. Stop in, you’ll be glad you did.

Been here a few times and I always try something new on the menu. Today was no different. My partner and I split the ham and brie & pastrami sandwiches, and a kale salad. Also ordered a green juice on the side. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I like that they keep their menu small and simple with bread sourced from Bolivar nearby.

Enjoyed lunch with family. The sandwiches were delicious! I had ham and brie with apple chutney, really nice flavor combo on tasty locally baked bread. Others had the Cuban sandwich and the house salad and said it was very good. The key lime pie was very authentic and excellent! Plenty of seating inside and the service was friendly and prompt. Planning to try breakfast soon.
