So glad we “took a chance” on MJ’s Grill. We spent 6 days on the road heading to and from the Texas Hill Country to Ohio. This was by far the best stop on the road. Off the beaten path, for sure. But a great rural drive through Oklahoma into Seminole Nation. Worth the time. Worth the drive. Clearly surviving and thriving in an area and a town that has seen better times, since 2011 is an indication of the quality. Recommend!

Fantastic mom ‘n pop diner! Breakfast and lunch are delicious. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Service is always friendly. I definitely recommend. Don’t forget to grab a slice of homemade cake on the way out.

The restaurant doesn’t provide any information on the origin of their name, but for me I can’t help but recall “Mother, Jugs and Speed.” And if you know what that is (without Googling it) you are freaking old.
Mother Jug’s Grill is easy to find. Located on the main drag through town, Highway 62. The food is excellent, the service is wonderful and could not be more friendly. I was delighted with the food and the warm welcoming feeling from the staff. It is a motorcycle themed grill (décor), a full café/diner menu, breakfast through lunch.
My wife spotted their Indian Taco and I had a Cheeseburger. Today is 9/18/2024, National Cheeseburger Day. What else would I have ordered, duh! The Indian Taco was fantastic, covered with fresh ground beef and salad on a fresh hot Indian fry bread. My Cheeseburger a thick juicy hand formed patty grilled perfectly and dressed correctly with L,T,P,O & M, hold the mayo and ketchup. Delicious with the side of onion petals (like pieces of a blooming onion if you have ever eaten at an Outback restaurant).
Friendly café in a clean historic Oklahoma town. A destination drive, for food and the beautiful informative Seminole Nation Museum, which is packed with art and history. Gas up the car or bike, and see what Wewoka Oklahoma has to offer.

1st time husband and I have come here, it was a nice little find with home cooking. The atmosphere was homey and cozy. Biker friendly. Lunch crowd was whoa busy come around 2 it thins out. The waitress was awesome she had our glasses full and the sweet tea is great! Home cut French fries, the best! For sure coming back. Oh and there is plenty of parking.

Great food in a fun atmosphere. The decor and the food hearken back to the best of the old highway diners. The catfish was crisp and moist with plenty of fresh cut fries. We got the strawberry cake to go, and it was fabulous.

The catfish, fries, hushpuppies, and those beans…amazing. Great place, and food, with the BEST service. Highly recommend. We drove 90 miles to eat there.
