We were greeted as soon as we entered the building. Our order was taken and we waited about 15 minutes which is normal and fine for fresh food. Everything came out hot and seasoned well. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is due to the loudness of the music at 4/5 in the evening but other than that I would return for take out only though…go check them out!

If you’re craving true soul food, this is the place to go! Every bite tasted like it was made with love and generations of tradition. The oxtails were perfectly seasoned and moist, the mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the collard greens were cooked just right. The cornbread was warm and buttery—just like grandma used to make! A little sweet, which was perfect!
The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made me feel right at home. You can tell the cooks take pride in their food and care about their customers. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic, homestyle cooking!

My first time coming here was terrible. When I arrived I was told that it would be a 20 minute wait. Around 45+ mins go by I checked in to see my order status and the guy told me it’s just a Sunday man you should be coming up soon. I waited over 2 hours to not even get what I originally paid for and to be told it was sold out by another customer that waited just as long as me. I ordered a Large oxtail plate and ended up leaving with chicken and a refund of the difference from receiving a chicken plate instead of the oxtail plate HOURS LATER. I am very disappointed in what I just experienced but the chicken plate tasted fine.

I got the small smothered oxtails. I literally ate off that plate for two days. It’s worth every penny. I also grabbed a drink while I waited. Just know the vibe was great

My dad is really picky, especially about oxtails and he said it was the best he’s had. Flavor was on point. I got the ribeye and it was flavorful as well. The girl that was there was very helpful and took her time with us. Food came out fast.

I visited Mizz JuJu’s in Huntsville around 2:15–2:30 p.m. and waited almost two hours, only to be told they had run out of oxtails — the main dish I came for. That was very disappointing, especially after such a long wait with no updates.They went in no particular order which was even more upsetting.
I really wanted to support this local spot, but the lack of communication and long wait time made the experience frustrating. I understand things happen, but a quick heads-up or better time management would’ve made all the difference. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to expectations.

Went to enjoy a little date with my Husband and I wanted oxtail so we went here. It’s well lit and not lie a night club vibe but cute. It was hot as balls in the place so you should come half dressed to stay cool. 1 lady was up front and she took orders, made drinks, passed out food, and I think she was playing the music as well. That’s too much for 1 person but she handled it. The food was really good but I was swatting at so many fruit flies and flies and I said forget it and closed my box. They give a really nice portion on the food so that was a plus. If I go back I’d just get it to go so I can eat in peace

Parking lot has people standing around smoking in front of the door.
I walked in not sure where to place my order. Apparently all to go on Saturday. The menu is limited or was when I was there. The 3pc catfish and ranch fries over priced and not anything special.
They have a bar and was playing the game. The bartender was pleasant. The wait for my food was insane. I won’t be back on s Saturday night
