I enjoyed my lunch.
They served complimentary chips and salsa.
I ordered a chicken burrito with Mole sauce, rice and beans. It was very good!
The large Margherita is HUGE.
The atmosphere is fun, colorful and lively. The walls are covered in art and graffiti.
They have table and bar/counter seating several televisions.
My server was very nice and all of the staff is polite.
The price was VERY reasonable for the food is ordered.
I highly recommend this little restaurant.

Such a cool spot to go eat! Probably one of the better Mexican restaurants in the Shoals with high quality flavors! I had the Bongo dip which was really good but I’d of preferred it to be spicy still really good, it had ground beef, onions, peppers and cilantro mixed in with their cheese dip. For my lunch plate I’ve heard about how good the Bongo platter is so I had to get it and was not disappointed all this food on a platter for only $13.99 is crazy cheap! It had chicken and shrimp nachos, a birria quesadilla, chicken taquito a beef flauta and in the center a black bean and queso dip! It was so so good and definitely enough for two people for dinner! Their chicken is the best chicken I’ve had and all the Mexican restaurants around. I highly recommend going. Will be back for the Birria Ramen!

Food is pretty good and service is decent. Second time trying them out the food took way longer than it should have but was hot and good.
The music volume is a bit loud and off putting at times but otherwise atmosphere is pretty good.

Bongos Bar & Mexican Grill is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! The food is cooked to perfection and made with the freshest ingredients.
The steak taco salad was **chef’s kiss**
The portions are generous. I couldn’t eat it all, but it was so delicious that I sure wanted to!
My husband was very impressed with the street tacos. The salsa is amazing, too!
I had my first Caipirnha cocktail, and I’m obsessed. The drink was light and refreshing, but it definitely packed a punch.
My daughter and I shared the brownie and ice cream since it was my birthday. It was the best brownie I’ve ever had..hands down!
I love the atmosphere and the colorful artwork that adorns the walls. There’s a huge bar with several TVs. The staff is friendly and efficient. It’s a vibe, and I can’t wait to go back. I should have tried it sooner. Go!! You won’t regret it. 😉

I loved this place so much!! The decor is the bomb. Mexican restaurants are known for vibrant colors and Bongos is bright and vibrant but in a totally fresh, creative way. The service was pleasant, sincere, helpful and fast. My burrito was delicious. Parking is limited but Bongo’s is worth a walk!

Their food is the absolute BEST Mexican I’ve had in my life. Don’t go to Rosie’s, don’t go to Los Arcos, don’t go to Casa Mexicana or Fiesta—Go to Bongos!! The Birria Ramen is spectacular, with a perfect blend of cilantro, cheese, and onions. My husband had the steak and he said it was one of the best steaks he’s had.
I was so shocked that the restaurant was slow on a Saturday. With food this good, it should be packed.

We recently were in town on vacation and ate there. The food was delicious, the customer service was excellent and loved the way the restaurant was decorated. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and wants to eat good. We will definitely eat here again next time we’re in town, until then it’s back to Chicago.

I ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and a small cheese stick. The fajitas were good! And the salad that comes with the fajitas was good. The black beans surprised me that came with the beans and rice and the rice was good. I would not prefer to get the cheese sticks again if I go back.

Absolutely delicious! My new favorite Mexican restaurant! I had the Biria Chimi! The pic is more than 1/2, they are huge!! Salsa was excellent. We will definitely go back.
