Craving hibachi in Denver?! DO NOT go to Miyama Of Colorado near Park Meadows. Just had the absolute worst experience ever. Literally took over an hour from our 6:30 reservation to get service. The hostess and (apparent) assistant manager were bickering and arguing the whole time we were waiting because they messed up reservations and sat the wrong people.. multiple times. It wasn’t until after we were seated.. and still waiting.. that I had to go ask when we’d be waited on to get our soup to get started. You all know you go to a hibachi grill hungry so the hour wait was brutal. Then after we ate and paid our expensive tab, Shane looked up to find a lady sitting at the other table with her DOG! ON THE TABLE! Drinking out of her glass and eating food off her plate. We brought attention to the staff, they all nodded and agreed it was gross and didn’t do a thing about it. Absolutely appalled.

Very clean restaurant, the kids really liked seeing the fire on the grill top. Food was very good, but with the food cooked in front of you they can get backed up a little bit on reservations not having seating available at the selected time.

We went here for my daughters b-day. It was good fun for the whole family. We had another birthday at our table. Chef was good, not the best I have seen but he was entertaining. Food was good. Its always a little more $$ than I expect, but everyone enjoyed their dinner.

Amazing. Been here three times and they all were a phenomenal experience. The food was great, and fairly quick service. It was also a very fun experience and the environment was great. Our chef was excellent as well. They have hibachi and sushi, which is convenient because my dad and uncle like hibachi, and my mom and I like sushi. Pretty affordable. Would recommend.

We made a 7:45 pm reservation. We were still waiting to be seated at 9:15 pm. The hostess assured me that we were next to be seated however the owner was ushering his friends to tables ahead of many people who had been waiting like us. At 9:45, as the owner was bumping up a group of 8 who had come in well after us the bartender said hey these people have been waiting two hours referring to our family. the owner offered us a gift certificate or a standard meal in the main restaurant but said it would be an additional 20 minute wait. We left at 9:55 on new years eve with a screaming 8 month old baby and a hungry 8 year old who was really looking forward to the experience. I did not wait for the promised gift certificate. It’s too bad, my wife and I have been going here for some time and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Over-booking had been a slight issue in the past but new years eve 2016 was just unforgivable. I made my reservation several days in advance and after a 2 hour and 10 minute wait we left without a meal and went to Chili’s.

The sushi here was great but the Miyama house roll was beyond good. I actually ordered a second roll of this. The atmosphere is very laid back and cozy. We went for happy hour and had a few great rolls that came out rather fast. Overall we will be going back. There is also a hibachi grill there and we are excited to try that too!

Found this place a couple months ago when I got sick of eating at the hotel restaurant; been back a couple times since when I’m in town on business.
Decor is nice, with a calm atmosphere. I have eaten at the sushi bar every time, so I cannot comment on the steakhouse portion of the restaurant. Service is prompt, and the staff attentive without crossing the line into annoying. Sushi is fairly priced, well (and quickly) prepared, and quite tasty; selection is good.
I will definitely continue to visit when I’m staying in the area.

Waited an hour to be seated, despite having a reservation. Was informed by the manager prior to being seated that part of our bill would be comped. Chef was excellent, and so was the food. My drink was messed up, received something completely different from what I ordered. When it came time to pay, the full bill was presented. Management told us there was nothing they could do.
