Been going here for at least the last 15-20 years maybe longer. Great menu variety and they have a lunch menu with lower prices. My dad, in particular, loves coming to this place. Service efficient and polite. Food high quality and tasty. I always get tempura as part of my meal. The only downside really are the prices.Even for lunch it was $77 for 3 people!!! My dad ordered off the dinner menu and his meal was 28. He had plenty for another meal so there’s value in that. Still a nice place to have a good meal.

Came here for some Japanese food. You can never go wrong with ordering any entrée at this restaurant. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. We came here close to closing and they didn’t hesitate to take us in.
My favorite food is the pork cutlet. Fried to perfection. Definitely worth a try.

Been driving by this place over 25+ years…. I regret not trying it sooner.
To this day I have never had Chicken Katsu Curry Don prepared like this, anywhere. The way they prepare the chicken and the quality of chicken they use sings to the quality of their food.
The staff are extremely hospitable and pleasant to interact with. It’s overall a wonderful dining experience.

I’ve just been back after 20 years away. I used to come here with my mom when I was younger due to the quality and authenticity of the food and service.
Mom’s gone now so I had to come and eat to see if it was still top notch.
I was not disappointed. Time has not dulled the memory of a good meal.

Authentic Japanese food and atmosphere. Polite and non-intrusive service. The Bento Box includes a generous amount of a wide variety of dishes all of which were delicious. The Beef Teriyaki – Tempura combo was also excellent. We’ve been coming here for over 30 years and it’s our go-to Japanese restaurant.

I ordered the food and i noticed i have hair in the chicken , not 1 piece of hair but a few!
They said sorry and brought me a new one.
When i left , the hostess didn’t even ask how was the food or say sorry for the hair im my food but ask me if i paid!

the food was actually good as i remember it although I think I would receive better service from a child. I felt compelled to leave this review in response to their slow service, I get that they have been slow in the past with numerous guests being helped, but today I decided to order take out from this place. They gave me an estimate of 20 minutes and I arrived at that 20 minute mark. The restuarant was bare and empty of customers, I paid and she left towards the back without giving me an estimate and I convinced myself that it would probably come out soon. now speed up 30 more minutes that i’ve been waiting on their uncomfortable bench. I FINALLY receive my food them acting as if its right on time, I mention how they said it would take 20 minutes and I waited 50 and she rudely told me how she would “tell her manager”. foods not terrible, but only if you want to wait forever and be treated badly.

3 generations of my Japanese American family have been coming here. Great Japanese restaurant in a not so great location. Good food, service can be slow at times but they’re always friendly. Not as crowded as it used to be because of changes in demographics over the years.

They are currently takeout only and they will tell you approximately how long before your order is ready. I called my order in and picked up. We ordered the tempura udon which had the soup and udon in separate containers. A piece of tin foil was on top of the udon, then the tempura was placed, including 2 shrimps, sweet potato, shishito, broccoli, etc. I had the chef bento which included miso soup and nappa cabbage tsukemono in separate containers, tossed salad, rice, egg roll cut in half, small grilled mackerel with lemon, tamagoyaki, 3 pieces of karaage chicken and two pieces of tonkatsu with sauce…yummy and plenty to eat for me.
10/19/2021 Currently mainly doing Doordash and UberEats, but will accommodate phone-in takeout for simple dishes. They had chicken katsu curry which was lightly spiced with extra chili powder on the side. Came with 3 fried spring rolls. Yummy!
