I walk in—boom.
So many smells. I’m overwhelmed in the best way. In my daze I focus on an empty corner booth to my right. As I make my way over, I pass a couple praying, another couple on a date, and I catch snippets of borderline-taboo conversation from a nearby table. My first thought: the people-watching tonight is about to be a five out of five.
I sit, and the gentleman serving the dining area comes over immediately and greets me with, “My friend, how are you?”
We’ve never met. But clearly, we are friends now.
In a hushed tone, I share the first secret of this new friendship: it’s my first time eating Indian food. He smiles, and together we choose the safe options.
The order:
Buttered naan
Chicken tikka
White rice
Ten minutes later, I share the second secret—just as hushed as the first: “I like spice.”
Only then do I look around and realize that everyone already eating is coughing, wiping sweat from their foreheads, and occasionally taking a break to recover. Oh no, what have I done? Can I handle “spice” real spice. Their spice?
Life has taught me one thing: it gets more exciting when you ignore its little red flags. I’ve never backed down before, and I’m not starting now.
Too late for second thoughts—give me all the spice.
My plate arrives steaming—sizzling.
The naan? Perfection.
My friend places the rice down gently, then slides a small cup of spices across the table. “Your spices,” he says.
The rest goes by in a blur. My meal is soundtracked by waves of taboo conversation, the soft prayers from earlier, and a late-evening family debate where a young Indian woman tries to convince her parents to accept her boyfriend—who quietly stares at the table and eats.
The people-watching? A six out of five.
It felt like the entire world was represented in this one dining room—a collective thumbs-up from all cultures and walks of life.
Amazing food. Amazing service.
And to my new friend: I’ll see you soon.
Garlic naan was on point.
Good portion sizes. We took half home for later.
Buffet – It appears they no longer have it if you were looking for that info like we were before visiting.
Medium heat level was plenty hot for me. I can tolerate decent amount of heat but prefer 5/10. Asking for medium got me a 6/10 so pretty on par.
We will be back minimum once a month. Just wow.. cant believe I’ve gone this long without trying this place.
Went in person for lunch on a Sunday and thankfully it wasn’t too busy. The server we had was friendly and worked to set expectation about the pace of the service we’d receive i.e the food might take a while since it’s made fresh.
All the meals were well seasoned and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We had the Chicken Malai for appetizers, chicken tikka masala, and the beef Biryani. The chicken Malai was well flavored but I honestly could’ve done without it.
The tikka masala was delicious rich and flavorful. So so good! I was concerned with what I thought was a small serving dish but looks were deceiving because the tikka masala was more than enough. Ordered it with a level 8 spice level and it was the right kind of spicy- hot but not uncomfortable.
The biryani was decent. Didn’t particularly like the beef and it happened to be the most expensive Biryani. The beef tasted like..beef if you get what I mean and it didn’t get the flavors from the biryani. The pieces were also really fatty.
I ordered a chicken biryani to go and I enjoyed that a lot more. Also ordered their mango lassi and it was delicious! Their butter chicken is right up there with their Tikka Masala!
The naan was really good. Perfect mix between crispy and soft. I’d recommend ordering it to enjoy dining in as the takeout version didn’t deliver the same experience I had in person which is understandable.
Overall I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Indian food.
