We stopped at Mitchell’s for a quick coffee and cinnamon roll.
My son also had a really nice breakfast too. The staff were so welcoming, accommodating and serviced some delicious coffee and the food was excellent. A very charming, relaxing and welcoming coffee house you will not find this side of Lake Mirror.
A really nice mix of customers too sitting, eating chilling and working at tables.
We will definitely be returning soon.

Located in downtown Lakeland and frequented by locals, this coffeehouse offers good tasting lattes and freshly prepared pastries, breakfast and lunch fare. The MitchGriddle breakfast sandwich was unique and tasty.

Well this first visit of mine to Mitchel’s was very disappointing. Ordered the Ruben sandwich and it taste good for what it barley was. Me and my wife decided to go to Mitchel’s for lunch over purple onion and it was the wrong choice. We ordered to go and when the girl gave us our togo bag of food I laughed and asked my wife if there was anything even in the boxes. We didn’t look until we got back to work and dang we made the wrong choice. Barely any meat barley and sourcrout and just a little squirt of dressing and the bread was maybe grilled for 2 seconds. And it wasn’t busty in the shop maybe 2 people inside. Very disappointed probably won’t be back for lunch

Quaint little coffee shop, offering signature coffees and seasonal offerings. Even when the place is packed, we were able to get our coffees within 10 mins. Breakfast options and sweet treats.

No greeting when we walked in. Staff looked at us, continued their conversation, and only acknowledged us after I said hello — then turned away again while my dad tried to ask a question. I shouldn’t have had to announce it was our first visit to receive basic service. Food and coffee were good, but the service wasn’t. Unfortunately won’t be coming back due to poor costumer service.

I have been coming to Mitchells for 20+ years. I love to support local, but this place has truly gone downhill over the years. I’ve been ordering my go to lunch for years, a turkey sandwich on a spinach wrap. Unfortunately, this is what I’ve been served the last several times. This time, I finally had to write a review. This one isn’t even a spinach wrap and it was hard as a rock. Also, there is barely one full slice of turkey on it. For almost $10, this is ridiculous. I keep telling myself I won’t be back, but like I said, I love to support local. Not this place anymore, unfortunately.

I never leave bad reviews and I’ve gone to mitchels many times, loved it, (few days ago) this time i met with the owner and now I won’t be going back. Ordered a drink kinda of unsure what I wanted but the kind barista helped me out, (got a latte) it was alright but the coffee in it itself was so strong almost bitter. That’s what I didn’t like about it. I talked to the owner, she asks ” well was it what you ordered?” I reply, I guess? But its so strong, I dont like it and im not gonna drink it and i spent almost $9 on it! (Btw, assumed i would not get a refund, but worth trying or even remake it?) But she didnt offer any of that, she just replied in a careless attitude ” well im sorry you dont like it..” implying she’s not gonna do anything and then helps the next customer and turns around and ignores me. Literally left with tears in my eyes because I really just yk wanted a refund or remake for a drink i didn’t like but that’s not why im upset, its upsetting because being treated like that as a customer to a place I enjoyed going to. But no longer will. Disappointing that this could have been my first time at mitchels and I literally would’ve wasted $9 on a bad experience.

We were at the downtown Farmers market and stopped in Mitchell’s to grab something to eat. We had croissant sausage egg cheese sandwich and coffee’s. The food and drink were delicious and reasonable priced. The atmosphere is very relaxing inside and it’s a mini art museum with the walls displaying local artist some for sale. The employees were very pleasant to deal with I have been here before and would continue coming when I’m in the area. It is handicap accessible they don’t have an automated door at the front but people were very courteous and held the door open for me and my cart. The men’s room was clean and well stocked. In the past when the farmers produce market is not there parking on the street is generally available free.
I recommend if you want a relaxing breakfast and not in a hurry this is a place to go in downtown Lakeland Florida.

I was hesitant when we went into Mitchell’s Coffee House. It felt more diner than coffee shop. However, the food was excellent. The coffee was reasonable, not stellar by any means. The service was great.
