This is a great place for dinner out. It’s brand new and the atmosphere is lovely. The food and the service were wonderful. They have a lot of options and also offer all you can eat sushi as well. We will definitely come back!

Went in for first visit to get a 3 roll maki lunch. Surprised at the decor and how big the place was. In a good way. I sat at the bar which has roughly 5 beers on tap, they have more in bottles and a ton of top shelf alcohol and a solid amount of sake, even Nigiri which I love.

We dined at Mitasu Umi during their soft opening. Looks can be deceiving; while they’re located in the Essex Green strip mall next to Total Wine, it’s another world when stepping inside. Decor is fresh and modern, with a huge, brightly lit bar that seats about twenty and dining space that seems to never end. It’s one of the only sushi restaurants in the area with a full bar and the cocktails do not disappoint.

Considering that we ordered from the All You Can Eat menu, the quality of food was excellent! We had the salmon skin and seaweed salads, salmon and tuna tar tars, multiple kitchen appetizers (pork gyoza, steamed egg, age tofu, takoyaki and BBQ beef short ribs), various sashimi (yellowtail, squid, red snapper, red skimmer clam, white tuna and stripped bass) 3 specialty rolls (Snow White, Essex Green and Black Widow) and lots of dessert (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream – but no red bean or green tea right now, and my fave coffee sponge cake – no cheesecake or lighter right now either). With the exception of the BBQ beef short ribs being a bit fatty (smelled amazing, tho), everything else was great in quality and yummy! Staff was great, especially Jason!

This place has the most amazing sushi variety. The all you can eat menu is huge and everything tastes delicious. Personnel was super friendly, Jason (the manager) is always making sure everything is to the customer’s expectations. Ikimara appetizer is a MUST here. Lychee mojito the best one I’ve ever had. I’ve visited twice this week and looking forward to bring more people to this amazing place.

All you can eat for $26!!!.I like the food it’s good and fresh also the make it really fast. Nice seating, big and clean. Big variety of food, rolls, fruits and deserts. My only problem which is why I give them four stars is the people that were there they don’t really understand you and they’re not that friendly that’s it but it’s good place to try out

One of the rare asian restaurants in West Orange. Ive been waiting for them to open and Im not disappointed! The food was very good. They have buffet as well as a la carte menu, serving size is good and prices reasonable! If you have a big appetite definitely worth getting the buffet!
