My husband and I were dying to try this place. I have only been once, so if I go back and the experience is even better, I’ll gladly update my review.

This is the best restaurant in the Golden Triangle. My wife is a vegetarian and there are plenty of great options for her. My wife and I have tried their naan, butter chicken, fried rice, chow mein, and dumplings. We drive 30 minutes to eat here, and every time it is delicious, and the staff is always friendly. If you haven’t tried this restaurant you are missing out.

Neat little new place, and a type of cuisine not easy to find in this region (Nepalese and Indian food). Went there on their first day, so they were still getting the kinks worked out. I’m sure the speed will pick up in the future. Decent portion sizes, if a bit pricey for what you get; food was good. Expect $15 for an entree, $3 for a side or bottled drink. Many vegetarian options. They offer you the option to control your spice level (1~5); I chose 2, I think next time, I’ll try a 3.

We ordered chicken biryani, Chilli chicken, mushroom soup, and pani puri. Food was average, chicken biriyani had only 4 tiny chicken pieces which was frustrating compared to the pricing, we had to order chicken chilli later to finish our biryani. Panipuri I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I love the mushroom soup and chicken chilli most. Ambience and the customer service was perfect.

I’ve spent the last 30 years eating Indian food at restaurants from California to New York to Georgia, but this was an entirely different and delicious experience. If you’re familiar with Indian dishes, you’ll see items on the menu you’ll recognize, but many are slightly tweaked. After talking to the wait staff, it seems the difference is regional and the Himilayan and Nepalese influences produce fabulous results.

Family owned, small and quaint. Our server was polite, and ready to explain any and all items in question on the menu. Let’s talk about the explosion of flavor we experienced with our food. I dare you to grab some Gulab Jamun. Delectable. An otherwise wonderful introduction to Himalayan cuisine. Add this location to your must haves if visiting Columbus. There is no other place like it in town. Wonderful.

The food is pretty good. Just make sure you double-check your pick-up order before you leave. Staff is very friendly, but I would allocate an extra 5-10min for pick up orders.

Eating at Mita’s was a great experience all around the board! The food was phenomenal, and the service was great. I ordered the butter chicken, and I had my plate within 10 minutes. The serving size was plenty for one person with some left over too! The staff was so friendly and welcoming as well. Mita’s Himalayan Kitchen is the best local restaurant in Columbus!
