The staff was freindly and the atmosphere was very nice. The decorations were pretty and the food was good. I got the fried momos, I had never had them fried before but it was very tasty. I also got the chicken biryani, it’s not spicy but the flavors are very good and the chicken was very tender. The portion size was good, the 2 items we orderd were enough for both my husband and i.

Hi Everyone!
The small businesses in our community really need your patronage!
It’s a beautiful Saturday and I just had the best lunch at Mita’s Himalayan Kitchen! If you haven’t been, today is the day to try them! Good food and Excellent service!
I always get the Chicken Chilli with extra sauce and veggies and totally recommend! The Garlic Naan is perfect, too!

The food was AMAZING! Fresh ingredients and spice level was perfection (medium) – you can choose your spice level. I had the Chillii MoMo (dumplings) and my husband had the chicken sampler. We loved everything. The server was so polite and efficient and answered all of our questions. It was reasonably priced and the dishes were lovely to look at and the portions were large! Can’t wait to go back. We live in Starkville, but it is worth the drive!

Becareful when ordering samosa chaat. They literally use my photo on doordash. When I order I get something totally different everytime. Disappointing.

Uodate another picture of samosa chaat.

New update: they use to serve a red chutney sauce for Samosa. Now its an ugly brown sauce that taste like dirt. I called they say they never changed it. Go back on their photos it used to be red and it was delicious.

This place has gone down hill.

This was one of the worst dine-in restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time.

We drove nearly 50 minutes to try authentic Nepali food and arrived around 8:10 PM, well before the restaurant’s 9:00 PM closing time. We were seated without any warning about limited dine-in time and placed our full order.

The food came out very late — the last dish (veg momos) was served around 8:45 PM. Immediately after placing the momos on the table, the front desk lady strangely asked if we needed to-go boxes, even though we had just been served and had barely started eating.

Then at 8:55 PM, while we were still actively eating, she told us that they were closing at 9 and basically pressured us to “be fast” so she could clean and shut down. We were made to feel rushed and unwanted, even though the delay in serving was completely on their end.

On top of that, the food was extremely bad. The taste was ugly, bland, and disappointing — not even close to what you would expect after driving so far. Nothing tasted fresh or enjoyable.

What made the experience even worse was the behavior of the front desk/reception lady. Throughout the entire meal, she was continuously staring at us, making us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. She may not have been openly rude, but her behavior was highly disrespectful and made it very clear that she just wanted to end her shift and go home rather than serve customers who were already eating their dinner.

This is not a fast-food chain like McDonald’s or Dunkin’, where you rush customers out at closing time. If you accept dine-in guests, you are expected to let them finish their meal respectfully. If the restaurant cannot accommodate diners close to closing, they should clearly state last dine-in time and not seat customers at all.

Between the bad food, being rushed out, and the uncomfortable, unprofessional behavior, this place was a complete disappointment. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

P.s: We ordered Veg Chowmin (-10 out of 100), Veg thali (-100 out of 100), Veg Momos (1 out of 100) and it cost me 54$!!!!

consistently good! staff is soo nice and very helpful. i have frequently driven 30 mins out of my way just to pick up food from here, and i love eating in or picking it up for takeout. i have tried about 3/4ths of the menu at this point, and i havent had anything i havent loved.
there are clearly labelled dietary options, and you can choose your spice level for every dish (1-5, i always get the 3 and its perfect for me). you have to get the garlic naan and the butter chicken! the veg momo dumplings are always a must for me as well. highly reccomend to everyone in the area!!

Just had an AMAZING lunch at Mita’s. Great Service! And fantastic food as always. We shared an order of Chicken Choila, it was so good. Definitely on the reorder list.
I ordered the Lentil Soup which is like a warm hug. It is so yummy and filling. Then I ordered the Chicken Chili with Veggies and Rice. Do not forget to order the Garlic Naan it is to die for

We ate here on our way home from Biloxi, drove 13 miles off course to go to it because we wanted something different. It was well worth the drive. The food was delicious! We got heat level 1, which was more than enough for me. My son loves spicy food and level 1 wasn’t spicy to him. We chose chicken chilli, butter chicken, garlic naan, and 2 desserts we couldn’t remember the name of and shared all items. The garlic naan was so good that we ordered a second one. We will definitely eat here again when we get a chance.

I really enjoy the food at Mita’s. I definitely feel like it is better then the Indian restaurant in Starkville. To clarify, Mita’s is supposed to be Nepali food. I think that their menu can seem as though it could use a bit more variety, as the tomato onion gravy described in several of their dishes is the same. And, I have found that the quality in the food can be off. Sometimes my catfish is fried hard, sometimes too soft. On one occasion, the lentil soup seemed a bit too salty. Overall, I do enjoy the food at this restaurant. It is one of my favorites. I enjoy the Chicken Thali (not sure if I spelled it right) and the Mateer Paneer. The Chicken Choila is really good when they make it right, but lately I feel like they haven’t been using as much sauce, and been skimping on the portions for the 10 dollar appetizer.

A little bit of a hole in the wall but so worth visiting. Amazing tasting authentic dishes. The service is wonderful. We were in a rush and they were great to accommodate our time schedule. My favorites are the momo, chicken chili, butter chicken, and masala chai but there’s nothing short of amazing on the menu.
