Found a gem in the little town of Verdigre. Phil, the new owner, is so personable. The food is not your typical bar fare. I had the country burger with half beef and half pork with an egg on top. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Also tried the pesto mayo which is better than great. If this bat was in Omaha I would go often. Don’t miss this stop. Kitchen open 5 – 10.

Dont miss this find- what a treat! Hometown goodness, mmm-mmm in the heart of the Kolach capital in Verdigre, NE. We happened in on the only day they served lunch (Thursdays).Porkchop special is a thick, tender chop with meaty egg noodles and lightly-covered in mushroom gravy. Gravy has chunks of nice-sized mushrooms and doesn’t overpower the flavor of the food. Served with side of mixed vegetables and dinner roll…and CUPCAKES ! Owner friendly and CARES about his customers. Be sure to try their fresh burgers and homemade onion straws which are the BIG local draw.
