We came with a small group for lunch on a Saturday, it was quiet when we arrived but by the time we were leaving it was getting busy.
The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful with their menu.
The food is standout, absolutely amazing.
11/10 food. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. A true gem.
I would generally address food issues directly with management. However, the eating experience was so dreadful that I need to speak out.
The chicken stew with vegetables were very overcooked, and was hardly Jamaican in taste. There were shards of bones throughout the dish. I don’t care for overcooked, or food that has sat on the warmer for hours. The beans and rice was simply a few beans in flavorless rice. If you’ve had beans and rice from Popeye’s, you’ll be disappointed in this offering. The collards were actually fantastic, very tasty and edible.
I gave high praise for the facility and friendly service. However, they’ll probably never get my attention again.
I ordered the traditional jerk chicken with Jamaican rice and vegetables. The chicken was spicy, more than I liked and it was very fatty. The rice was good, however the vegetables were slopped on top of the rice and made everything juicy. Not a great presentation. Also the vegetables are more of a slaw than veggies. But I would go back for a million more plantain orders.
