Well I will preface this with the fact I have eaten at this restaurant before and was quite vocal about how good it was. Don’t know what changed but my lunch was utterly ruined waiting for 35 minutes to get a shrimp poboy boy that I never received. So I am writing this review at work with an empty stomach to finish this workday so thank you for a lunch hour experience that has ruined an otherwise above average Friday

My husband and I have dined here 3 times in the past year, and each time has been very different. First, we ordered the seafood platter. It took way too long to be served, but when it did arrive, IT. WAS. DELICIOUS! The platters had everything: fish, shrimp, stuffed crab, crab claws, oysters, frog legs, gumbo, and choice of another side for $17.99!! The manager discounted our meal, without us having to ask, after the very long wait. We decided leaving that we would be back to try them again.

my mother and I first arrived at Misty Lu’s for what we thought was a scheduled dinner business meeting. The restaurant wasn’t crowed and we waited a few minute before we were told to just sit anywhere. No hi welcome to Misty Lus, just a you can sit anywhere. Not seeing anyone for the dinner lbusiness meeting, I explained to the waitress I had a question. She was hesitant at first but finally came up to me. I explained to her why we were there and I noticed the puzzling look on her face. She answered she didn’t know about any meeting and just stood there. She didn’t offer to check it out with whomever was in charge so I kindly asked her if she could ask if the meeting was scheduled. After finding out the dinner meeting wasn’t scheduled until next week and we were all dressed up and hungry we decided to stay for dinner anyway.

The service was terrible the gumbo tasted like tomato water the bisque was cold the lettuce was brown in the salad and the ranch was watered down was not pleased with this visit at all and more than likely will not be back. Misty Lu’s is kind of a hidden treasure. They have out done thierselves. Thier new location and menu is a welcome surprise. I can’t eat wheat so I had to stop eating there at the old place. With the new movie and new menu has be back again. Extremely friendly and great food. Try it out for yourself and bring the whole family.

Found a jewel of a restaurant here, went on a Sat for lunch, buffet started at 5 pm so we ordered from the menu, service was very good and prompt, food was delicious, very clean, great atmosphere, highly recommend, can’t wait to go back !
