I was in the area and I stopped by for an order of peach cobbler. I made the mistake of not checking my order before leaving. I got all the way home and the cobbler was a lot of mushy bread along with hard pieces of bread. No peaches at all. It seemed to be old. I pleasantly called to inform them of what was sold to me. The lady laughed and stated “sweetie we cook our peach cobbler fresh everyday “ Please see the pics, this cobbler was definitely not cooked today and not even yesterday. Calling a customer “sweetie” is not proper etiquette. The lady then stated “ bring it back for another one” I was on my way, but its not worth the drive. If the customer service over the phone was a little better, not defensive, but apologetic then it would’ve been worth the ride. But this is how our people treat us. This was my second time there. First time I only ordered the peach cobbler and it was pretty good. Second time, it was horrible. It was trash. I will not be returning. Your place of business will not prosper if you continue to do treat people like this. Not even worth a one star rating!!!!

I live in Indiana and was visiting a friend in Missouri and he said he had driven by the restaurant several times but he had never been there. So we decided to give it a try. It was GREAT… We definitely will go back there…GET THE BISCUITS AND GRAVY…

The food was . I got the turkey (tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection), macaroni (cheesy and very flavorful), yams (buttery, sweet deliciousness), DRESSING was so good, make you want to slap yo momma (just kidding mom lol). My husband got the greens and he said they were awesome as well. Everything we ordered was out of this world DELICIOUS. The lady at the counter was very nice. I would absolutely recommend this place. Thank you Mississippi Boy for make our experience a great one

I don’t know how this restaurant is open. I decided to try another rib place because most are inconsistent. One day everything is great and another day the quality is different. It’s very upsetting to spend hard earned money on mediocre food etc. This is one and done for me. The first time here and I spent some good money. Ribs were tuff scraps drowned in barbeque sauce. The black eyed peas tasted burnt and unflavorful. Had Mac n Cheese and Greens as well. They were decent. The corn muffin was hard as well. One of the highlights of this rib dinner was the cheap bread under the scraps of ribs that I wouldn’t bother giving to my dog. Again one and done. You guys got my money and bravo for you. Very upset!! If this is cooking I definitely should open a restaurant. Maybe the rest of the menu is good from some reviews but won’t risk trying.

Pros for me was that the restaurant was clean, I like being able to see where the food is prepared. The dressing was GOOD and so was my peach cobbler! There was no microwave usage in the preparation that I can see. The staff was professional and clean as well. Cons for me, my cajun fried turkey wings was a wing with half the meat missing and a VERY dry drum leg that i tossed out, also it was bland with no flavor to be titled cajun. My mac/cheese was dry, but tasty. The green beans were bland and the dressing portion (one of the best items) was very small, the size of one ice cream scoop. For $15 it was mediocre. I will possibly try again because I like to support my community.

I ordered the Chicken wings and tip combo with pinto beans, collard greens, and black eyed peas. It was all delicious 5☆s on everything but the chicken. The chicken gets 10☆s! It was the best fried chicken I have had outside of my own kitchen! Thank you for the delicious lunch!
