We got the turkey leg, fried chicken wings, Mac and cheese, and greens. Greens were the best I’ve had, great spice. Mac and cheese was very good could be better if it was spicy. Turkey leg was out of this world so seasoned and the sauces are great. The Fried chicken wings were the absolute highlight of the meal. Cooked perfectly and amazing breading, I recommend dipping it in the bbq and hot sauce. The toast was also amazing and seasoned. I highly recommend

We love this place! Great food, laid back atmosphere and great music. The burnt ends are heavenly, as well as the catfish and shrimp. The portions are generous and enough to share. We had been here 3 times and they were out of peach cobbler each time. We mentioned this to Ty, the owner, and he went and baked us the most amazing peach cobbler that we have had in years. If your looking for a friendly, neighborhood place, look no further!

I was told about this place for its atmosphere and catfish and most importantly a taste of jazz…. Well I was not disappointed in the atmosphere and the owner was amazing with the service he gave bringing our order.
If you are looking for tasty catfish this is the spot! They fried my catfish to perfection!! Delicious. The fries would be amazing if they used real potatoes or a different form of fries but they were able. My husband ordered chicken wings were alright – the drums and flats could have been seperated- the anatomy of a chicken – the yams could have used a little rendering.
The jazz was pretty cool and entertaining and I can see it being an amazing space for artists, spoken words, and empowering engagements!
The decor is perfect for the location and I see how the summer could be a nice date night and a social gathering for friends, family and community!
So to my black folks and those who love fried catfish and some jazz – take a visit

We were in the neighborhood and really excited about finding this place. The service and food were exceptional. We had smoked ribs, catfish, hush puppies and cornbread (which the owner was kind enough to send us home with some extra). We found the prices reasonable, especially as the receipt notes this is a non-profit that is also serving the community. We will definitely be back!

Denver, you are in for a delightful and delicious experience. Southern cooking and Southern hospitality on point. Catfish was tender as well as breaded perfection. The sides were generous Okra and Collard Greens are noteworthy!

The best fried catfish I’ve ever had was in a backwoods place in rural Mississippi. The second best was here in Denver at Mississippi Boy! Perfect Mississippi style catfish, hush puppies, mac and cheese and sweet cole slaw, like it’s supposed to be. Great little place with an awesome atmosphere, where the owner himself checked in on us multiple times. We left full, happy, and excited to go back again and try the rest of the menu!

I went during restaurant week. I loved the live band. The restaurant was nicely decorated. I enjoyed the catfish, and the staff was very courteous. I did not enjoy the sides– I had greens and sweet potatoes. They tasted different than any I’ve ever had.
When we went, we ordered everything from the touch screen and had to pre-pay… including the tip. I’m not a fan of that setup, either… you should tip after you receive service
I will go back for the fish, drinks, and music.

I came here with my friend and the owner Ty provided us a great customer service. He was about to close and he still served me food. The food was delicious. The smoke wings and the home made sauce were amazing Great prices, very clean and a really good atmosphere. A must visit place

Perfect meal for a perfect night, as the night air in Denver cools, I was wanting a nice warm blanket while watching the sunset and this meal delivered that comfort I was looking for, will be back! We heard live jazz music and will definitely be back for that.
