We had a really lovely experience at Donna’s on Lansdowne.
We arrived at 1:30 pm and ordered from their Valentine’s Day special menu, which was available until 3 pm. Even though it was quite busy, the atmosphere felt warm and interesting rather than overwhelming.

The beer was great, and I really liked the homey, charming tableware — small details that made the place feel cozy and thoughtful. At 1:48 pm we were served a raw fish dish as an appetizer, which was very interesting and fresh.

The steak was excellent, and the potatoes that came with it were honestly perfect. The salad was also top-tier. Dessert was just as good and finished the meal beautifully.

Overall, the restaurant was busy but in a vibrant, energetic way. We left very satisfied and would definitely come back.

Donna’s is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world.

The food is outstanding: genuine, healthy, perfectly cooked, and always original — never predictable, always memorable. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, with great respect for ingredients and balance.

The atmosphere is just as impressive. The space is clean and stylish, warm and carefully designed, with music that perfectly complements the experience and makes you feel immediately at ease.

Service is truly top-level. Hanna and the entire team are professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming — the kind of hospitality that makes you feel valued, not rushed.

What more could you ask for?
Simply go to Donna’s, sit back, and enjoy an exceptional experience.

I’ve been to Donna’s a few times and have always enjoyed, but I just the most absolutely spectacular birthday dinner here and had to rave about it! For our larger party if 9, we were required to do a tasting menu, and it was an incredible experience. There was so much food (10-12 different dishes by our count including dessert, we lost count) and every bite was delicious. This is not a tasting menu you’ll leave hungry from, we were all stuffed AND had leftovers to bring home, and all for $85 a person! Also, they were extremely accommodating of individual dietary needs—we had a gluten-free member of our party, and for the few dishes that contained gluten (most of them were inherently GF), they were given a personal alternative portion. Our server was attentive and friendly. There was a technical difficulty with the bill at the end that resulted in a bit of a wait, and they comped a round of our drinks as an apology (totally not necessary but of course appreciated).

Thank you Donna’s, we will be back

Cute restaurant and cozy vibe in a relatively obscure area. Couldn’t quite place their dishes but I’d say Asian fusion? Tried their prawn brown rice in broth and really enjoyed the flavour – a hint of ginger and just warms you from the inside on a chilly day. The dish itself feels healthy (the brown rice I suppose?) and the prawns and veg. Would return to try their other dishes!

My partner and I visited Donna’s after it came highly recommended by friends in the local food scene. They raved about it, so naturally, we were excited to try it out. I really wanted to like it—but sadly, it missed the mark for us.

To start, the service was warm and the staff were friendly—definitely a highlight ‍↕️ And to preface: the Morel Lasagna, which was our shared main, did taste delicious! We also ordered the oysters and ham croquettes, which were just okay. We didn’t get a chance to snap photos of the lasagna or croquettes since we dove right in after the oysters.

That said, the portion sizes felt a bit underwhelming for the price. The oysters ($3.50 each) came out first—small, and hard to justify cost-wise. They were served simply with lemon and hot sauce, resting on a bed of salt. For the price, we expected a bit more flair or thoughtful presentation. The croquettes ($12) followed: just two pieces, about the size of mozzarella sticks. The lasagna ($29) was served in a ceramic ramekin roughly 6.5–8” long. Splitting it between the two of us gave us just a few bites each. Even if I came back to order one just for myself, it still doesn’t feel worth nearly $30

We wanted to love Donna’s—especially after all the glowing reviews—but for the price and portions, it just wasn’t quite the experience we were hoping for.

Everything about our lunch-time visit was phenomenal: the service, the table, the attention to detail, the effort in separating food intended for one diner that was part of a shared dish, the incredible flavor and freshness of the leafy salad, the taste, crunch, texture, presentation of the fried mushroom sandwich. I was in vegetarian-heaven!

A lovely friend took me here for a belated bday dinner and I loved it! Such a hidden gem on the west end ✨

This spot is so vibey with such flavorful dishes – I was pleasantly surprised at how yummy each single dish was! The oysters are so fresh, along with the pea salad . My fave was the mushroom lasagna. The red snapper was delicious, but on the saltier side. We got their strawberry trifle for dessert and it was so yummy until we hit the wine jelly at the bottom (just too strong for me haha).

The drinks were well-rounded and tasty too!

It’s patio season now so we sat outside to enjoy the weather. The atmosphere was so lively and comforting! ☀️

I would definitely come again to try their other dishes (and new ones as the menu changes)!

Everyone working here is very kind and friendly. The couple at the table next to me seems to come here every weekend; before leaving, they hugged the waitstaff goodbye. Being in a place like this felt really nice.

Why is this place always so perfect? Servers went above and beyond to make our night special. They are all so nice and genuine. Dishes were all delicious. No shortage of excellent vegetarian options, which is rare. Ambiance incredibly cozy and charming. The carrot cake pudding thing made me emotional. Just love this place!!

Came here after fighting with my mother. Felt way better after. Can’t tell if it was the food, the service, or the fight being over. Nonetheless, come on down.
