The food was delicious! I got the baked haddock and it was so fresh it melted in my mouth! My husband had the seafood casserole and it was a huge portion and fantastic! Diana, our server was amazing! She surprised us with a decadent desert that was incredible! One of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time! Highly recommend this restaurant and if you are lucky, maybe you will get Diana to be your server!

Saturday brunch of 15. Lori was our server and she was world class. The brunch is all you can eat for $20.00. On the ocean. Almost as spectacular as Lori who added food to orders and served it family style (it was all family). She hustled over $5.00 mimosas and chatted with us. World class service. Good food…eggs Benedict was my favorite. Did not enjoy the meatballs but I’m picky with meatballs. We had a wonderful time and we were not on the roof.

I really wanted to love Mission on the Bay, but the food fell short for me.
The short ribs were amazing & the appetizer empanadas were absolutely delicious. But it just went downhill from there.
The clam chowder had a strangely sweet taste that didn’t match the classic flavor you’d expect.
The ceviche was unfortunately bland, lacking the fresh, bright acidity that makes the dish stand out. And the sushi just wasn’t good—unbalanced flavors and poor texture & taste.
The restaurant has an amazing location and atmosphere, but the dishes we tried were disappointing.
Hoping for improvements because the potential is there.

Great seaside views make this lovely restaurant unique. Literally on the cliffside above the bay. Excellent contemporary menu and attractive full bar. Attentive service.

The view is fantastic and we have always had great service. We love the chowder and tuna tartare.

Honestly, food was pretty good. Best clam chowder I’ve had in a long time. But waiting an hour for it in a fairly dead restaurant was not OK. Our waitress was great and kept apologizing, but it just put a damper on the whole affair. Don’t show up hungry and you should be fine.

Came in for Saturday brunch after a puppy yoga class. The view overlooking the water on this rare, warm day was beautiful. The order-as-you-go, all-you-can-eat brunch was way better than buffet style elsewhere. I only wish French toast and bacon were included in the brunch (they’re a separate a la carte order).
We sat at the bar and Michael took care of us. Big shout out to Michael; this dude was great, attentive, and funny. I felt a little under dressed coming in wearing sweats straight from puppy yoga but he set a good vibe by chopping it up with us, and that put me at ease.

Beautiful location on the ocean. Fresh seafood. I got the Salmon with shrimp and muscles. It was on top of a large amount of something like couscous but instead of being very small balls they were much bigger and soaked in a light red sauce. It would have been nicer with just a small amount of the couscous. The other people I were with got the filet mignon and it look amazing!
Everything was very tasty and I would definitely go again!

A nice surf and turf restaurant in Swampscott, Massachusetts.
We came on our last night of our trip for a nice evening out and had a great time. The service was good. Both our server, the manager and our waitress were all awesome.
The menu has a nice mix of seafood, chicken, steak, pastas, shareables and desserts. There was an extensive bar with a good wine list.
Food came out faster than we expected which was nice and everything was pretty good. Nothing stood out as absolutely amazing but I wouldn’t call anything even mediocre it was all good.
We had a good time and I would recommend them.

First visit since this spot was the beloved Red Rock Restaurant. The view is amazing and unfortunately like many spots with great views, the food was just average. We were please to see they maintained the incredible views that this property offers but a bit disappointed that it has become so casual. The property lends itself to more of an upscale sophisticated vibe but it has changed. This was a December visit for us so we assume the summer upstairs deck must be popular. The greeters were not real warm but of course we loved Paul P. from the former Red Rocks who greeted and welcomed everyone so enthusiastically. Paul made you happy to dine there and we did regularlybecauseit was so wonderful. The casual menu of Mission by the Bay offers a variety of offerings not stictly seafood at all. I do recommend the shrimp scampi, it was excellent. My husband’s fried clam entree was good, but not excellent. The crabcake appetizer was awful, full of filler mush, not crabmeat, especially for $24. We couldn’t even eat it. Our server was attentive and sweet. Overall, we would probably go back for the views but not on a regular basis because of the food offerings.
