We haven’t been to Mission since the new ownership. We were pleasantly surprised. I was happy to see the Tres Alarm Margarita still on the menu. Made perfectly by Ivan the bartender. We sat at the bar and service was perfect. I had the soup special, Pozole and boy was I happy. Hubby had Chicken mole enchiladas and they did not disappoint. The vibe is still fun and coming in from a very chilly night the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We will return again soon.

Mission Cantina in Amherst absolutely delivered! I ordered the Burrito Ahogado and it was excellent—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and super satisfying. The chips with pineapple jalapeño salsa were a great start—fresh, crispy, and that salsa had the perfect balance of sweet and heat.
The bartender wasn’t overly friendly, but she did check on us a couple of times and made sure we had what we needed. The overall atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and the food definitely made up for any small service hiccups.
All in all, a great experience and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

The place is open during some construction. It recently changed owners but the menu is the same. Chips and salsa are a menu item — i.e. not a freebie appetizer. Several salsas are available to order as well if you’d like that to go with your meal. Several hot sauces are on the table. The burrito I ordered and the tacos my wife ordered were quite good.

Really terrible. Everything was tasteless. Food was cooked poorly. Ingredients were inauthentic and made no sense. The menu is incredibly limited. Service was slow. Drinks were pretty much just water. Dining room is small – only about 10 tables, and none big enough for a party larger than 4. Dark and dingy, like a dive bar. So many better options for Mexican/Central American food in the area.

We enjoyed our visit today! The waitress and bartender were very welcoming, the food and drinks were delicious. We had tacos! So good. I enjoyed practicing my Spanish with the waitress, Juliet. The churro cheesecake was awesome! We’ll be back!

What happened to our favorite place? Went yesterday and will not be back. The place was dirty. When we mentioned to the server that the menus were dirty and sticky, she just shrugged her shoulders and placed them back with others. Drink glasses were dirty and had to ask for clean glasses. They were very slow (now I understand why), and my husband waited almost 20 minutes for a drink! When the food came the portions were almost half of what it was previously. What a disappointment.

Food was great, and the atmosphere was nice. However, the drinks felt more like juice than booze. If they added some more portions of alcohol in their margaritas, I think it may be better. Overall, not bad.
