Amazing BBQ place!
Building is very well maintained and decorated inside. Staff is no nonsense and brings food quickly + they gave me free Mac and cheese

I wanted to sit outside and the staff was so nice and brought out sauces and napkins outside (it was cold).

Food is well priced BBQ sandwich <$10 is tasty and keeps you full for hours. Not surprised the place was packed for lunch. 10/10 would go again.

What a great place that supports the military. I didn’t know I came in free sandwich week for the different branches. I came for the pulled pork and it is excellent. I always measure the quality of the barbecue by the pulled pork. The macaroni and cheese is one of the standouts. Also. Just made perfectly. Not bland just right. I like the smoked sausage. It’s a little bit different than a lot of people have. It’s got more of a softer versus a charred hardened grilled. One. Big beans are delicious also. I try to swing by when I can in the area and it’s well worth it.

I went to a Mission BBQ years ago with a friend. Delicious chicken, brisket, pork, cornbread, fries, and green beans. I also liked the unique patriotic atmosphere. However, it was far away from where I live. I was delighted to learn there was a location much closer to me in Downer’s Grove! I went there with another friend and plan on going with my dad soon.

Dropped in with the crew for lunch.
We actually drove by on our way to our jobsite and passed by. The scent drew us back once our job was done! I must say we were not disappointed.
We had the Brisket sandwiches, wings, sausages, beans and Mac & Cheese.
Ya, very filling and delicious!

Excellent service! I had pulled pork and enjoyed trying all the nicely labeled barbecue sauces at the table. He had grilled shrimp. Yum!

This was my first time trying this place out and I really enjoyed it. The staff are all really nice and helpful. One of the staff members recommended me the Brisket Sandwich and it was really good. The environment was really patriotic with Police, Fire, and military displays. I totally recommend coming out here if you haven’t tried it out.

I think it would be better to put wax paper under the fried food instead of placing it directly in the to-go box. That way, we don’t end up eating any chemicals that could come from the container, which might be harmful.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars

Mission BBQ is hands-down one of the best barbecue spots around. The brisket is next-level—tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. It practically melts in your mouth and keeps you coming back for more.

Their lineup of sauces is just as impressive. From sweet and tangy to bold and spicy, there’s something for every taste—and I always end up trying a few because they’re all so good.

And the banana puddin’? Absolutely amazing. Creamy, sweet, and comforting—just like something homemade. It’s the perfect way to end the meal.

Great food, friendly service, and a place that truly honors those who serve. Mission BBQ gets it right on every level.

To say we’re obsessed would be putting it lightly! This place is amazing! We drive 40 minutes specifically for this bbq and they didn’t disappoint! The food was sooooo delicious, we got ribs, burgers, fries, Mac and cheese, cornbread and the delicious peach cobbler for dessert! After devouring the peach cobbler we got another to go! The food was a solid 10/10 but the service was also sooooo amazing! Tim was the most incredible presence in the restaurant! He was attentive and soooo friendly! Our entire experience was incredible and we can’t wait to come back!

Outstanding location, this is the 3rd different one I’ve visited and this one was the best. Had the 3 meat sampler and a side of mac. Brisket, pulled pork, and jalapeño cheddar sausage were all delicious and their 7 selections of sauces are awesome. The KC one actually is very similar to Gates, Bryant’s, LC’s etc. Usually someone else’s “KC” sauce sucks lol.

Place was clean and staff very friendly. Highly recommended.
