I went here (Sterling Heights location) for the first time for lunch as I’ve been wanting to try it for a while now. I was pleasantly surprised. The cashier (young brunette girl) was SO nice and explained things to me with patience as I’d never been and found ways to get me what I wanted for less. Then, when I was at the receiving end of the counter, she called down to the guy packing my food and let him know I was a first timer and to give me an extra sauce that was their favorite to try (can’t remember the name of it but it was spicy and sweet). I ended up using all of that one before moving to the regular sweet sauce I had chosen! The smell in there was AMAZING and it was much larger than I expected in there. The price for the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw was less than most other lunches I would typically carry out and it was a good size and very filling (not to mention-DELICIOUS!)! Loved the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff (so refreshing these days and very much appreciated). It was also very quick service (even though they were packed in there with a line almost to the door)! I’m picky when it comes to bbq food as I used to work at an establishment in Florida with the best BBQ. I haven’t found one nearby that I really like much until Mission BBQ! I also love what they’re about – having a passion for serving those who serve and the appreciation and patriotism they display for them. ❤️ We need more people and businesses like this in the world! I will definitely be back!!

It smells so good when you walk in, smokey flavor, country music playing, full aura atmosphere, it’s about to be some good bbq! It was my first time and the ladies behind the counter were beyond kind and attentive, I ended up trying almost everything, ribs, shrimp, and brisket were incredible, and they gave me a spot of free cheesecake and a free sandwich for next time. It tastes like America in here I will definitely be back with company

I’m in Sterling heights for a business trip and being from the south I truly felt like I was back home. Absolutely delicious and genuine bbq with a great selection of sauces to choose from. Debbie did a wonderful job welcoming us in and explaining the menu. Her kind heartedness really made me feel welcomed like no other restaurant has. 10/10 definitely go here if you get the chance!!

We ordered some of everything& even the pickiest Even the pickiest one in the group loved everything Management is wonderful. The food is really fantastic. We had a fantastic experience at Mission’s BBQ in Sterling Heights last week! Our server, Alyssa, delivered warm, Southern hospitality that made us feel right at home. Maddie helped us navigate the menu with insider tips on the most popular dishes. The standout for me? The short bread pudding. I’m not usually a fan, but I went back for three servings! William’s attentiveness to guests and the clean, family-friendly environment sealed the deal. We’re definitely returning—especially to try the rotating desserts!

This is one of the best BBQ I’ve had. First time here and we got to try 5 different meats. Everything was fantastic. We met Will who took care of us and described everything so well. As we were eating he came up and brought us free dessert to try along with a couple coupons. This is how a business should be run.

We live quite a ways north of Sterling Heights. We were driving by and thought BBQ sounded good. Boy did we hit the jackpot!! Riley greeted us with a warm smile ready to help a new comer with the menu and gave us a lovely runthrough. When we explained where we were from, Will came over and introduced himself and said we was from the same area!! What a surprise. He was so kind and friendly and helpful! Part way through the meal, Riley brought us a complimentary cherry cheesecake to share, talk about hospitality! Now about the food. It was so fresh, the choices of sauces were great, and there were so many delicious options, it was so difficult to choose, so we each used several. The sides were delicious and very generous portions. We had pulled pork and turkey….yum. Thank you Will and Riley for making our day.

This was our first time visiting Mission BBQ. We came in just knowing you served BBQ…and then we met Debbie. She asked if we had been there before and upon learning it was our first time, she immediately welcomed us as if we were family. She told us the amazing story of Mission BBQ and your Mission. Debbie was incredible…knee brace and all, she was willing to traverse the whole length of the place if we needed anything! She memorized our names so she would remember them the next time we visit! She not only represented the best of your establishment, but the best of all of us. God Bless Debbie, God Bless our Troops and First Responders, and God Bless America! Oh, and the food was good too…almost as good as Debbie!

wow what an amazing place!!! My husband and I ate there for the first time in the service was excellent the staff were friendly and kind. they took the time to explain the menu to us, and how to order it what an awesome experience we had!!! To our suprise look at what the staff made for us along with the BEST BREAD PUDDING IVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!! WHAT A WAY TO SALUTE THE SOLDIERS BY HAVING SUCH WARM WELCOMING STAFF

We were greeted with a very nice welcome from Debbie. We stated it was our first time there. She was super friendly in explaining how to order and where to choose from and how to add on. After placing our order she said go have a seat until we call your name. The place was extremely clean, as we sat and read up on all the BBQ sauces. I ordered all brisket and my husband ordered brisket and jalapeno and cheese sausage. Comes with cornbread and we both ordered the coleslaw. Let me tell you, it was very good and filling! We were then approached by Ayssa who was also so very friendly and thanked us for coming in and encouraged us to try the blueberry cobbler. I was full but it smelled so good! Well that just dinner to a whole other level. It was sweet, but amazing!! I can’t stop thinking about it. The employees and the food were 5 star! We will for sure be back!!
