While I’ve been to Fort Lauderdale a few times already, this was our first day in America because we just moved here, and the waitress gave us a complimentary dessert with a note! Honestly, I walked in with zero expectations and everything turned out fantastic.
My favorite was the brisket, and then the baby back ribs. They had a Smokey bbq sauce that tasted delicious. We’ll be back!
The portions were great and it tasted even better! Would recommend the sampler as that allowed us to try the different meats.
Don’t get me started on the selection of BBQ sauces!! They are impressive to say the least.
Loved our experience here!
I’ll gladly give my business to the Doral Mission BBQ instead.
My best friend has always raved about Mission BBQ, so I finally decided to stop by the Davie location during my lunch break after picking up my daughter. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I appreciated the patriotic decor honoring military, police, and first responders—a core part of the restaurant’s mission to serve and support American heroes. It’s more than just decor—it’s their way of giving back to those who serve our country.
The cashier was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended the turkey and brisket as her personal favorites, so I was excited to try them. My daughter ordered the Jr. Mac and cheese with fries, which she really enjoyed. I went for the Market Sampler with three meats: pulled chicken, turkey, and brisket, paired with collard greens, mac n cheese, and an extra side of baked beans.
Here’s the breakdown:
The pulled chicken was moist and flavorful—definitely the best of the three meats.
The turkey and brisket were a little dry, but that’s where the sauces came to the rescue.
I loved the KC Classic and Florida Gator Bite sauces—perfect for adding a punch of flavor to the meats.
The mac n cheese and baked beans were both rich and satisfying.
The collard greens, on the other hand, fell flat and lacked seasoning.
Even though everything wasn’t a home run, I’m definitely willing to give Mission BBQ another shot. The service was great, the vibe was warm, and there’s still dessert on the menu calling my name for next time!
Tried the three meat; Pulled pork, brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage. Selected green beans as a side. Also, had a chicken sandwich with fries as side.
There are a number of sauces to select from; smoky to tangy etc.
Lots of memorabilia honoring first responders throughout. Take your time looking around.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices and clean throughout.
One time they had a strawberry shortcake that was absolutely incredible. I usually come here with my daughter, and we love it every time.
I also love the coin collection and the décor — it’s full of character and honors different service professions like police officers, firefighters, and the Coast Guard. The photos and overall atmosphere make this place really special.
