I ordered the cheeseburger. While my companions were very satisfied with their meals, I prefer my meat well-done. They explained to me that because the meat is smoked, it naturally stays juicy and looks pink/red inside, but personally, I don’t enjoy eating it that way.
The service, however, was exceptional and exceeded my expectations. I asked for my meat to be cooked more, and they brought out a new burger, but it was still too juicy and red for my taste, so I decided to take it home for someone else to enjoy. Without me even asking for help, a waiter apologized, explained the process, and brought us a gift card for a sandwich on our next visit.
Later, the manager came over, apologized again, and brought a new bill where he had discounted the cheeseburger. He even insisted on preparing something else for me to take home, like brisket with salad, which is very delicious, I totally recommend. I really didn’t expect this level of attention! The service is outstanding, the place is very clean, spacious, and pleasant. Plus, the prices are great for the high quality of smoked meats they serve. Highly recommended!
The counter based service was fast and friendly, making for a good overall experience.
We always stop by when we are in the area, for consistently great BBQ.
The service and atmosphere are good, at least.
The food itself was outstanding — hearty portions of tender, flavorful meat and a huge variety of sauces that made it fun (and tough!) to pick a favorite. But honestly, while the food was excellent, it was the people who truly made this visit so special. From the very beginning, the cashier warmly welcomed us, took the time to explain the menu, and gave thoughtful recommendations since it was our first time. When our food was ready, Paul personally acknowledged our first visit and kindly offered to help carry everything to our table. Even after our meal, a lady in the dining room offered to take our plates — a simple gesture that showed just how much they care about their guests.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with music at just the right level, and everywhere we looked were heartfelt tributes honoring those who have served our country. It’s clear that Mission BBQ isn’t just about great food — it’s about honoring service, celebrating community, and creating a place where people feel welcomed and proud.
The food was the plus. The real highlight was the people and the strong sense of patriotism that made our first visit so memorable. Mission BBQ has definitely won us over, and we’ll be back!
PS
We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures but nonetheless it looked AND tasted amazing!
