Ordered catering lunch for my workers, everyone loved the food!
Brisket, beans, slaw, pulled chicken, rolls, corn bread, cookies and browning… they even threw in tablecloths, plates, and cutlery.
For beverage, Iced tea and lemonade.
Everything was very tasty, hot, and satisfying. No reason to get fast food when you can go here!
Also, A+ for military appreciation!
When we finally sat down to eat, I was blown away by how delicious everything was! The pulled chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the sides were just as amazing. Between the top-tier service and the incredible food, I can confidently say this is probably my new favorite spot. Highly recommend!
Tonight I ordered the brisket and pulled pork with the potato salad and baked beans. It was lovely and I appreciate the craftsmanship they put into it.
When I was paying, I made a comment about one of the photos on the wall. It reminded me of something me and my buddies had done during desert storm. I laughed about it and told the people who were helping me.
Well, if you haven’t eaten there, they seem to have the manager actually out on the floor cleaning and talking to everyone and making sure everyone has what they need. In this case it was a guy named David, and he was exceptional, but also Skyler, who brought me the lovely treat in the picture Was very professional and helpful.
I’m almost hesitant to mention their names because every person there that I interacted with was positive, professional, and friendly.
In all, it was a supportive experience and believe me, I know how hard that is to achieve in a restaurant. I have been working in the space for decades, and that kind of experience doesn’t happen on accident.
Well done Mission BBQ
They called me and we talked at length, about what happened, about business, and just about life as two humans. Great guy.
I’ve been back to the restaurant twice since and to say the staff and service were above and beyond would be an understatement. Everyone was been extremely friendly and outgoing, welcoming, and had a clear priority to make my visit great.
Add that to the consistently great food and well… What else can you say? Great place.
Original review: Great food, like… Really good. Was a weird experience to walk in there, walk to the big sign that says “Online Order Pickup” and have absolutely no one greet me or acknowledge my existence at all for… 10 minutes? Staff walking by, helping people walking to the place where you place a new order, etc.
But no “hello” or “I’ll be right with you” or anything until someone that was doing other work (not customer facing) said, “let me put on some gloves and help you.”
Anyway… The food was delicious.
I had a hockey game 2.5 hours away in Warminster and when I was searching for nearby food, I saw Mission BBQ and immediately stopped searching- I hadn’t had it in years and always made a note to stop when I saw one.
We preordered during our drive for 7pm pickup. It was my fiancés first time at a Mission BBQ. When we got there they apologized but said they were out of 2/5 of the meats we ordered. They had already been out of 2 other meats we wanted to order when we placed it, so we were left with about half of the meat menu. Given we had to go to the hockey game we had to figure out what to get quickly and had paid extra for the chicken they were out of.
The staff were super apologetic and gave us free sandwich cards. The replacement brisket had just been pulled and sliced and was the best cut we got of them all. Would definitely come back but probably won’t use the preordering system again.
The barbecue sauce was watery the baby back ribs were cold not even room temperature the turkey was good.
The sausage with cheese and jalapeno was room temperature not that flavorful
the baked beans with brisket there was one small piece of brisket the cornbread was moist too sweet.
The green beans were tasty the unsweetened iced tea was really watery just call it water with a hint of tea flavor
I will definitely not go back this is not barbecue this is McDonald’s barbecue
My only concern is that there is a staff member who is very rude, obnoxious and bossy. Her name is Skylar. She came from the store in the city that recently closed. Skylar is always yelling at her coworkers and belittling them in front of customers. Not a pretty site. She is not a supervisor or manager just a normal worker. She never finishes her shift always leaving early and other staff members have to clean up her area. Has a mouth on her that would embarrass the pope, loud and bossy. Corrects her coworkers in front of customers. I like this spot but as long as Skylar is working there and the way she talks I may have to go to a different Mission BBQ.
